This is a more modern hotel, not quaint and old. It is centrally located close to the Mosel River and a 15 minute walk from the Deutsches Eck. The train station is perhaps a 20 minute walk. Rooms were good size, clean and the breakfast was good and there is an elevator. Rooms on the front side of the hotel are along a busy street, potentially with noise issues. My room was on the quiet back side, which faces west. This became an issue as it was rather warm and with the summer sun up until 9:30 PM the room was rather warm when trying to sleep. I would say at this hotel again.

Very central hotel, minutes on foot to Mosel river, German corner, old town, large mall, shopping areas, and green walking areas.
Front desc opens till 11 pm.
People are very friendly. Breakfast buffet is very good ( not obligatory).
The restaurant doesn't offer other meals, and there is no bar/lounge, but the area is full of cafes and restaurants of all calibers.

Most hotels in town were sold out, so we ended up here. Good enough location, close to the Eck and for walking around in the old town. Breakfast was decent enough, wifi worked, checkin was efficient. Can't complain.

This place is located next to a bigger road that goes around the old town. The building itself is quite hideous and the room was the peak of mid 90's interior decorating. Wifi works, staff wasn't overly helpful, when I asked for sights to see, they basically told me to go head straight from the hotel entrance to the old town. As with a lot of cities in western Germany, repeated bomb raids destroyed a lot of beautiful neighbourhoods, regrettably Cithy Hotel Kurfuerst is in one of those eradicated neighbourhoods, what's there today is not an inspiring sight and I would reccomend travelers to stay closer to the river with a nicer view than you get here. This hotel is however clean and spacious. The most memorable thing is probably the incredibly complex wifi password that was way over the top in using symbols, numbers and capital letters.
