The Haus Patmos is surrounded by fields and forest in a very nice environment. A lot of parking lots were available by arriving. The Haus Patmos is a combination of several houses, partly to sleep and others for meetings.
The house was very clean, also the rest rooms.

The food was average, we were offered coffee brakes and lunch - it was more or less convenient fast food.

We stayed 5 days with Haus Patmos. The front desk and restaurant staff spoke English well and were very kind and accommodating. The big surprise for us was the rooms. By European standards they were quite large. They were immaculate as well. The roll down shutters, common in Europe, will do the job if you want your room dark and quiet. The en-suite bath was spacious as well. There is a 4 km and 6 km hilly forest walk next to the location. The grounds are quite large with a number of places for sitting and relaxing. Breakfast was also, very European, cold cuts, cheeses, wonderful seedy roles, a few vegies, cereals, yogurt and very nice jams. The few other meals I had at the Haus Patmos were not remarkable, so meals off-site are not a bad option. Staff can recommend really nice places. Local buses can take you from just by the entry drive to the Siegen Train Station and the city center, but you may be better served with a hire car. There is loads of convenient parking. There nearest market for supplies is Aldi, about a 10 minute walk away. The drive from Frankfurt Airport is about 1.75 hours, mostly motorway. August, 2015 there was a fair amount of construction on the motorway, so figure this into your travel time..

The room I had was large, but fairly basic. Parking (free) was outside, but fairly close to the building - an annex to the main hotel building, a few minutes walk. The windows have wooden blinds that lend it an utilitarian yet unattractive look, specially annoying when the nearby room's occupants raise them early in the morning, making a racket that wakes you up. I requested a 7:30AM wake up call, but got one ring at 6:30AM - oops, but I'm already awake now...just after being awoken by the next room's blinds raising anyways. The shower has a soap/shampoo/dispenser that serves its purpose...unless you have long hair, which would require the much missed conditioner. The bed is a bit hard, and has a standard thin conforter(blanket). The restaurant, however, has great schnitzel with salad, and apple pancake. The breakfast is also pretty good. Another plus - free WiFi.

This is one of the newest hotels in Siegen located in the district of "Geisweid", just a couple of meters from the woods. It is an excellent place to relax, breath fresh air and enjoy the wonderful tranquility in Siegen.
The hotel has a nice restaurant with fresh seasonal specialties of the region, the staff is nice and kind. There is even a small spa for relaxation. Most of the guests are more likely to be senior citizens, however, it is a wonderful place for business travelers getting bored of "in-the-city stays". Also, family travelers are welcome. There is free Wi-Fi internet for staying in touch with the rest of the world, but enjoying the wonderful fresh air is highly recommended.
The rooms are modern, yet giving the warm feeling of a homestay. If you plan to stay longer, I recommend the more specious double rooms or even suites.

Room Tip: All rooms have a nice view, however, the top level rooms are quieter.

This is the third time I have stayed at the Hotel Patmos. It is a very nice hotel. I am impressed especially by the professional competence of the staff. The rooms are always quite nice and well maintained. The location on the side of a hill provides a very nice view and a feeling of seclusion. Combined with a very reasonable price, the hotel is an excellent value for any traveler.

Room Tip: As far as I can determine, there is not a room location that is better or worse than any other.
