Description: An exciting symbiosis of architectural perfection, urban harbour development and Asian cuisine can be found in Duisburg’s inner harbour. No less than top architect Sir Norman Foster transformed an old harbour storage building into a magnificent “loftstyle” building fit for a world city. “Chilli’s” has transferred its culinary offering from the metropolises of Asia into the unique ambiance of Duisburg’s inner harbour. Enjoy Chilli’s new light form of Asian international cuisine with dishes from Thailand, China and Japan and laidback background music, get a whiff of the world and breathe the history of the Ruhr district here on Philosophenweg in Duisburg. The menu offers various meat, fish and poultry dishes and some vegetarian dishes as well as some delicious starters and soups. All the dishes have a certain bite to them.

I've eaten here three times because it's next to the children's Exploratorium and my son LOVES Sushi (and the Exploratorium).

I don't often comment if I don't have something nice to say, but, for food, you can definitly do better. The location is nice, service acceptable and dishes other than Sushi are pretty good.

The Sushi, however, has too much rice, not enough fish -- insult to injury, the rice is not even good.

And, it's not cheap. That's the basic reason I'm commenting -- it's not cheap and not so good.

You have to go downtown, as far as I know, to get better Sushi, but there are several other nice resturants, including Asian, near by.

So, if you want a nice location next to the harbor, ok, eat at Chili's. Just don't order the Sushi or other expensive items and you'll be happy enough.

That's it -- not another negative word shall pass my fingers!

Without any pre advice on this restaurant, it is a very good surprise.
Service is good. (the waitress does not speak english),
Gyoza and duck ramen soup were really delicious.
I recommend.

Good food for a reasonable price. Way of serving was nice and very original (food served in small woks). There was a lot of choice, from the traditional fried rice to duck with lychees and pineapple
