We just moved a short walk from Fellini's. We like to explore the city looking for new places to dine and one night I was craving pasta. We passed so many places that weren't open for dinner yet or not open at all. So we continued to walk, stopping in shops and hoping to kill time for someplace to open. We turned the corner to see this place just getting started for dinner service. First to arrive and sort of out of place - no reservation, casually dressed we were welcomed with open arms. Our coats taken, light conversation, a charming German Italian walk through of the large hand written menu and drinks suggested. Just sitting and waiting in anticipation at this restaurant is a treat. The dining room is filled with antiques, paintings, photographs and very elite looking diners pour in knowing everyone and choosing their favorite wines. Frankly, we thought we'd intruded on a very exclusive party of area socialites and they just let us stay! A negroni and a aperol spritz later we were greeted with a gratis opener, then came the carpaccio and soon the pasta with Calabrian peppers with a sauce curated and loved with butter and wine. The prestige was a seafood plate with not one but three items including two filets and a large langoustine. Then came dessert profiteroles stuffed with both cream and chocolate and a panna cotta that was beyond. We had wine pairings and finished with espresso and limoncello. Our server handed us a card explaining his brother was in the kitchen and offering us to come again. It was just the cutest finish to a whimsical dinner and we felt so grateful to find such a stunning place near our new home. We basically had a tasting menu with friends in a beautiful restaurant and the cost was on par with a prix fixe but without a reservation and it being a totally random selection it was perfection. We plan on making this our special occasion and wow the parents restaurant going forward. If in Cologne/Köln this is the place but make a reservation and dress up a lil!

Four of us went to dinner at this restaurant after we read the very good reviews on tripadvisor. We came away disappointed. One of our party ordered pasta which came to the table swimming in olive oil. (We all love olive oil but you can have too much of a good thing...) A tuna dish was partially burnt. Sadly, we came to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday, so the flawed dishes took some of the shine off the evening.

I should mention, in fairness, that a third entree we ordered was good and the birthday girl ordered fish (monkfish I believe it was), which was quite good. In fact everyone at the table really enjoyed the sauce the monkfish was cooked in.

The waiter helped us select a bottle of white wine, which we really enjoyed. So there were some good points to the evening. Yet, maybe the restaurant was having a bad day, but overall the food did not live up to the high ratings.

My favorite Italian restaurant in Cologne .
Doesn’t matter what do you want to order , all meals will be very tasty, fresh and delicious!
The owner of the restaurant is working by himself everyday, and he is such a lovely guy!
We always happy to come or send our friends.
Just come , try and enjoy! Highly recommended!

Back at Fellini's after 3 years and the same friendly super service and top quality food. Good wine list, warm cosy atmosphere, and authentic Italian. Once again when in Cologne, have a meal at Fellini's

The food was good, however it is incredibly hard to justify paying 13 euro for a tiny bit of pasta on a plate.

Left the restaurant still hungry as well as feeling ripped off - I would highly not recommend.
