An upper middle class house from 18th and 19th century. Quite nice to show that aspect of life to our kids rather than the usual palaces or peasants extremes.

This was a really great small Museum really enjoyed the 18th Century Pharmacy exhibition on the ground floor within the museum. Excellent examples of quite unique Northern European18th Cent carved wooden furniture, with some beautifully detailed 19th Century family portraits on the upper floors. Amazing collection of Delft and other continental tiles in the two tile room collections.
Note: Visits on the weekends are normally free of charge.

This little museum is a treat if you like the 18th century and its furniture, cermaics and oli paintings.

Outside you might think, this place can't be that interesting. Ounce you are inside, you will love this house, that shows perfectly the way houses were furnished some centuries ago. The old pharmacy is very interesting. They have some very good members of staff, who will tell you lots of background stories with a good sense of humor.
Don't forget to visit this museum when visiting attractive Aachen.

A nice discovery of this little museum which was a wealthy apothecary's home. It's interiors are nicely restored with antique furniture etc. that was rescued to give the feel of a merchant family home of the 17th-18th C.
