This is a small town in Germany- so the customers are mostly German and they come to eat good German food. The bathroom is clean and on the ground floor. The waiter and the waitress were most kind, and found me a menu in English. I ordered the special of the day. ham hock with saurkraut and little boiled potatoes with parsley. The meat was so tender that it fell off the bone -there was very little discernable fat;the saurkraut was delicious and the portion was generous. I wish I could post the pictures I took. My husband and I shared a portion of the house struedel which came with 'creme anglaise' AND whipped cream. We were delighted with this meal and would return without question if ever in this town again. Note:There are more touristy restaurants up and down the street where 5 languages are surely spoken, but we managed to order and eat a very good meal in this one.
