In the very touristed pedestrian lane of Rudedelsheim, you’ll find a shaded outdoor patio filled with accordion music, servers in dirndls and German beer with the traditional menu items (with a few twists). There’s a gurgling fountain to complete the picture and the glockenspiel is just over your shoulder when it sounds on the hour. The musician they’ve hired likes to tell jokes too, but only the German speakers know what he’s saying, and from the way they laugh, he must be funny. The food was excellent, with cudos for the creamiest spatzle in German and a fried feta salad and charcuterie board to write home about.
