I don't normally write a second review when re-staying at a hotel, unless there are new things to remark on. In the winter, it is really quite nice to come back to a warm hotel room. This time I have a smaller room, which is still quite spacious; but the toilet, the shower and the wash-basin are rather cramped. I had to stay in to work one morning. As there is no "Do Not Disturb" sign, there was first the cleaning lady, then the minibar check, and then someone who comes by to ask if I want some water or apples! Because I have to work, the cleaning was done while I am in the room. It must have taken at least 15 minutes (after the first night) – so the cleaning is thoroughly done! There is a lady at the reception who does not seem to have a clue (e.g. giving the wrong information about where breakfast is served) but most of the other staff are efficient. The printer at the business centre on the 7th floor has no paper in it and the staff cannot offer any assistance. At the reception, however, Herr Sagaßer – a charming and friendly person – has been able to offer help in printing a boarding pass. The breakfast is still very good for the price – it is worth taking the time. I suppose it would be busier during weekdays and less relaxing.

We visited this hotel in November to visit the Christmas markets. It is probably more geared to business travellers. We found the staff efficient, not particularly friendly. The service in the restaurant in the mornings was very, very slow, however when it did arrive the food was good, as was the buffet choice. Our room was large, very clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The open shower is different - not too sure whether I like it or not and you would need to know your travelling companion very well, or else decide on when want to time your shower. This is not a 5 star hotel. The corridors could do with a refurb, and other than the shower cublicle, there is nothing 5 star about it. Maybe a 4.

I stayed in the hotel for 1 night. Everything was OK. Rooms are relatively small but well furnished. Bathroom is in the middle of the room and is glass walls. Have it in mind if you share the room. Free internet is available.
Reception desk is very well organised and extermely efficient. All the people from the hotel are very fiendly and helpful. Thank you to all of you.
Hotel is close to main street of Frankfurt and is 4 stops away from the Frankfurt Messe (Fair) by U-Bahn.

This hotel is not a budget offering, but offers pretty good value, a handy location 2 mins from the central shopping area and other attractions, and has a u-bahn right at the door. The room is tastefully furnished, comfortable and clean. The clear shower in the bedroom will not be for everyone - suitable for singles and couples, but twin-share beware. The included breakfast is good and the 7th floor bar very nice.

This covers my visit to the Flemming's Deluxe hotel in December 2011.

I just completed an enjoyable stay at the Flemming's deluxe hotel in Frankfurt Germany. In town on business, have stayed at a variety of Frankfurt hotels, from 5-star down to Mom and Pop places. I would place Flemming's squarely on par with the typical inner-city Euro Hotel.

Pros: Efficient check-in staff, minimalist design, they have a real working pedanoster in the lobby. If you don't know what this is, look it up!!. If you are a history buff, you should stay at this hotel for the sole reason that your get to ride the pedanoster. If you are afraid of heights, no worries, the hotel has a bank of working elevators as well.

The room was clean but stuffy, quickly solved by keeping the window cracked during the entire stay. The bed was fine, adequate furniture, nice desk, could use more outlets on or near the desk area. LED reading lamps by the bed, nice touch. I found the Front Desk staff to be excellent, knowledgable, very happy to help. Top marks, even the poor folks working the overnight shift were excellent.

Cons: I'm not sure this is a con, and it didn't bother me a bit, but many of the women I spoke with said this would be a deal-breaker for them. The shower is located, basically in the middle of your room, seriously. I have never seen this before, and I have been everywhere. There is an elevated Corian shower base (about 8 inches high) and glass walls. The glass box is nice and large, but it is not located in a separate room! The toilet is located in a tiny room, the sink, mirror and towel racks are in the room with you, and so is your shower. Nice sized closet as well. Hey, the shower works, I got used to it quickly because there was ample water pressure and the glass cube was well sealed, no leaks. Many of the women I shared my room photos with remarked they would feel as if they were "pole dancing" in that type of arrangement. Hey, you're in you're room alone with the curtains pulled, who is going to see you, this must be a female thing. So decide for yourself.

The internet access is free but irritating. A machine at the front desk generates random usernames and passwords for your internet access. These "tickets" are good only for 5 hours at a time. And it is one ticket per item, so if you have a phone and a laptop, you will need two tickets, still free, but the 5 hour lifecycle doesn't really fit with this business man's schedule. Done with work return to hotel, get ticket(s) and answer emails. Out to dinner, return to hotel, need new two new tickets to check email before bed as the old ones have expired. Wake up next morning, you guessed it…… need two new tickets before you can check email, or log on to check stocks, or world news. It ends up being a real royal pain.

You can call down to the Front Desk and have them "read" you a new username and password after your ticket has expired, but like so many things in life, it sounds better than it works. There is the inevitable language barrier and ultimately you are sounding out unrelated letters and numbers. It's easier just to throw on some clothes and head downstairs and pick up the ticket yourself. This needs to be fixed, it's a hotel not Ft. Knox.

While the rooms are fine, the corridor hallways are dark, and a bit musky, a little fresh air circulation would go a long way here. The breakfast, frequently included, is fine, but a bit sparse by typical european hotel standards. It gets the job done, but you won't be lingering or making any extra trips to the cold buffet. The restaurant/bar: Top Floor, this was both a surprise and a bit of a disappointment.

The Roof is a terrific space with one of the best balcony views in Frankfurt. It seems to do a brisk business with the dating set on the restaurant side, but the bar is not as busy. It really could be so much more. This roof space and its surroundings have the feel of a much more expensive hotel. It really is the perfect place for a nightcap or romantic after dinner drink.

Sadly, the bar itself is not well stocked, just the basics, and the staff is not trained in even the most basic cocktails. You end up having to walk to the bar and point to the bottle. This bar with this view could be so much more. It is not well advertised, I found it accidentally when I overshot my floor while riding the pedanoster!

Look, I'm no genius, but with a little investment, this place could be a huge moneymaker for the hotel, especially in a city of bankers! The money is sitting on the floor, someone just need to bend over and pick it up!

If you are a business traveler accustomed to inner city "Euro Hotels" stay without hesitation. I will stay again.
