The hotel could not be better located for tourists wanting to visit the Sans Soucci palaces (there are several in the park and a day spent visiting them is relaxing and pleasant) and other places in Potsdam.

One hint - this hotel will if asked issue you with a certified room card which allows you free public transport throughout Potsdam and Berlin - well worth it,

I had a small but comfortable single room overlooking the square and the Brandenburg Tor. Breakfast was included and more than adequate. Everything is within walking distance - I even walked to the Russian Colony (about 3 km) and the site of the Potsdam conference (also about 3km) but as everywhere is flat it was easy walking.

The hotel has good location, as it is near the most important shopping street. The accommodation is not only a room, but it is small apartment with a waiting living area, dinning table and sleeping room. The bathing room is ok but needs more items . Not fully equipped. The room is Clean. The personnel is helpful. Breakfast is very good.

first of all we got an upgrade to a very lovely suite - breakfast and breakfast-room are excellent - personal is very helpful and friendly - public parking in front of the hotel -located close to castle and parc

Room Tip: rooms to the back-yard are quieter, to the front-side better view to Brandenburger-Tor and fountain

More 'downtown' is not possible.
Walking distance to pedestriant shopping street, Park Sanssouci and Havel River.
The room I had was nicely decorated. Breakfast has more to offer than you can eat. Very friendly service. Restaurant looks nice but have not used as many alternative Restaurants in walking distance. Hotel provides discount card for car parking.

Room Tip: Room 101 is very nice. (separate living room )

Our room had a (small) balcony with a view on the Brandenburger Tor, and with a fountain in front: very nice! Unfortunately there were some roadworks in front of the hotel...but to be honest: it didn't bother us that much.
The room was elaborate, clean, and decorated in classic style: warm and cosy!
In the bathroom everything you need: even cottonballs and Q-tips!
Breakfast (buffet) elaborate, diverse and good.
Service at desk and breakfastroom was outstanding : friendly and highly cooperative.

Room Tip: Room with balcony on the front of the hotel: best view!Sunshine in the morning but When hot there is a (removable) fan directly available:)
