The unit had plenty of room for all 5 of us, especially the bedrooms and bathroom, and the kitchen had all the necessary bits and pieces for basic holiday cooking, but the lounge (sofa) area was smallish, some people needed to sit at the dinner chairs. Beds were comfortable with clean linens and everything was fresh and tidy, ready to use. Having the free wifi was great, allowing us to book day trips and plan easily.
Even though Elena was not personally able to meet us, she arranged her friend Marilisa to hand us the key and we had her phone number for any issues - there were none!
On first impression of the street we worried about the location, but found it to be perfectly safe and friendly. We found a couple of great bakeries nearby and lovely small bars, locally. We ended up walking to the Ostkreuz train station most days because it was more direct into the city centre and fast, although 15 minutes walk away. (Plus, we could get a good coffee at the Bio supermarket on the way). We bought a 5 day city tour card so no fuss buying tickets.
It was a great place to stay in Berlin and we loved being there. Thanks Elena and Marilisa
