thank you for your kind words and for sharing your recent experience at Das Stue with us.
It gives me joy to read that you fully enjoyed your stay and could appreciate our design, location and especially our staff. Words like yours motivate us to keep working hard to ensure that every visit at Das Stue turns into a joyful and memorable experience.
Thank you for chosing Das Stue and we hope to welcome you back in the future.
Me and my boyfriend stayed 2 nights at Das Stue in a Stue room. I had made a request in advance of a room facing towards the zoo and the receptionist made sure that we got this during check in.
Small but modern room, lovely windows from floor to ceiling facing towards the zoo.
Our room was on the first floor and it was noisy at night from the room above or it could of been the pipes or something going on and off during the night. The room was really hot too and this was during winter! We didn't sleep that well unfortunately...
We had breakfast at the hotel, quite pricey and not the biggest selection. I prefer though a smaller choice with good quality foods, this is exactly what they had. Breakfast on Saturday morning was excellent when it came to the personnel being attentive and cleaning the table, asking if we wished for more coffee etc. On Sunday morning it seemed like they were short staffed, they forgot our coffee order, didn't clean of the table from old plates, one of the waiters spilled something on a lady at another table and they seemed pretty stressed. It was a big difference in the breakfast experience on those 2 days.
We visited the SPA to take an evening dip in the pool and use the sauna. It is a very small SPA but nice to visit for a little while.
Not many places to lay down and relax comfortably if there's more than 6 people there at the same time. Didn't get a treatment done so I can't give a review about that.
All in all, I would stay at Das Stue again and ask for a room on one of the top floors. I love the atmosphere at the bar on Friday evenings with live jazz music, they had yummy drinks and snacks too. We even had dinner one evening at the hotel and it was really good. Beautiful hotel and setting. If you want a hotel with design and class away from busy streets then this is a definitely a good choice.
thank you for your review and for taking the time to share your experience with us from your stay.
I am delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay overall and could especially appreciate our fine food selection for breakfast as well as the atmosphere in the bar. Please rest assured that we take your comments on our service serious and will follow up on this internally. The team and I, we are always striving to create a personal and memorable experience for our guests, so feedback like yours is highly valuable for us.
Thank you for choosing Das Stue. We hope to welcome you back in the future and remain at your disposal at all times.
My friend got married in Berlin and wanted to stay away from everyone else for one night so we booked Das Stue.
From the moment we walked in until checkout nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel is stunning and has history (a former embassy). It is very stylish with loads of quirks. The bar does great food. You also cannot miss breakfast - an infinite selection of food!
Our bedroom was in the old part, first floor, with high ceiling. No TV as such but a large iMac that doubles up as a TV and PC. Well appointed rooms with bathrobes, sleepers, minibar etc. Very comfy beds and quiet rooms.
The pool area is also great, clean, airy with a sauna. Perfect to escape and relax.
We got upgraded and got offered special amenities (strawberries dipped in chocolate!!) - nice touches that make all the difference.
I highly recommend this hotel. It is on the expensive side but it's well worth it... they even have their own access to the park/zoo.
We were travelling with a small group and this hotel appealed to some in the group more than others, mainly just due to the room style. They are a lot more modern than the exterior style of the hotel would suggest. It is a beautiful hotel in the former Danish Embassy. Probably the quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in! It was also spacious and very comfortable. We had a nice room (Embassy room) overlooking the zoo. Note that there is second, newer building in the back and due to the proximity, you can see into the rooms of each of the buildings. So while the view is nice, its best to keep the curtains closed. The hotel is adjacent to the vast Tiergarten and only a short walk to shops and restaurants near the main entrance to the zoo. However, it is quite far removed from city center and the main sites. This wasn't a problem for us but worth a mention for those that like to walk out of their hotel and be in the center of things. Take the stairs in the main hotel building and check out the open libraries on each floor. Also, if the weather is nice, be sure to take a walk just past the attached Spanish Embassy to the edge of the Tiergarten where there is a nice beer garden/restaurant.
thank you for your feedback and for taking the time to describe your recent stay with us.
I am happy reading that you enjoyed your time with us overall. At Das Stue, we blend the historic building of the former Royal Danish embassy with a contemporary design and just as you say, the rooms are displaying a more contemporary design than the historic facade might indicate. I am pleased that you describe many details about your stay as this is a valuable feedback for us.
The team and I, we would be happy welcoming you back at Das Stue and remain at your disposal at all times.
All the best,
Set in the former Danish Embasst next to the Tiergatan Hotel Das Stue is a great place to unwind at the end of a day yet still close to the centre.Fantastic food and wine garden. The staff were exceptionally helpful. There was very nice pool and sauna. Unfortunately for us they closed it for maintenance on our second week there. Would have been good to know this when we booked. Apart from that everything was excellent.
A great hotel with a very good staff. It has a fantastic location. This hotel is different from other hotels in Berlin. The rooms are very clean and luxerus. The room-keeping is twice a day. The staff is very helpful.
