This hotel is wonderfully located near to Samariterstrasse metro station and close the great restaurants and bars of this part of Friedrichshain - achingly trendy if very gentrified these days. In itself, it occupies a handsome nineteenth century building and has been modernised sensitively inside - something the Germans always tend to do well. I didn't partake of the breakfast but the prices are lower than one might expect and it's a far better area to stay in than the slightly corporate and bland centre city. The one complaint would be the simply ridiculous 'Ibis Styles' label? Is this a homage to former soccer referee Rob Styles? It simply doesn't work in English.

This large Ibis Styles Hotel is situated on a side street just a short walk from a main road into Berlin. There are plenty of shops and restaurants within a short walking distance. The rooms have free WiFi and TV and are reasonable for a budget hotel. Breakfast is limited with no hot choices just cheese, cold meats, bread, hot and cold drinks. The staff are friendly and helpful.

This hotel is very well located and provides good value for money. Although the rooms are very basic, they are clean and well serviced.
They provide and excellent breakfast and the staff go out of their way to welcome their guests.
