“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 November 2011

I did the tour of the stadium and was very impressed

The interior of the stadium was totally rebuilt in the early 2000's and is well worth a visit.

The preserved exterior is well worth seeing as well

“must visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 November 2011

Most stadiums you would visit are all about the football teams
But not this on this is all about the stadium so much history here
We were there for about 3 hours get the english headphone as its very informitive tells all about the 1936 games when Hitler refused to shake jesse owens hand after he won gold and so much more to see
it is a wonderful location with the s bahn station taking you there

“Get tickets to watch a soccer match (HERTA) and enjoy the atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2011

We took friends from the US to a Bundesliga soccer match and now they are soccer fans! The Olympic Stadium is not only a historic building and very impressive ( the Olympic games were held here during the Nazi regime) but also still very much in use and alive. In September traditionally an international track and field event is held (ISTAF) and HERTA plays all home games here.
It is worth the S-Bahn ride!

“A great escape from the bustle of central Berlin”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 September 2011

We visited on a non match day and when the sun was out. Set in lovely grounds the stadium from a distance is built to impress and that it does. Tours are only in german so read up about it before hand so that you have some background knowledge on this place. The paper guide we got wasnt much good as it was only in german. You are free to wander freely round the stadium and other buildings and arenas but a non tour ticket does not grant you entry to behind the scenes ie training area or changing rooms etc.

Well worth the 15 minutes train journey from zoo then a 2 minute walk from the s-bahn station. Admission for non tour was 7 euros but reduced to 5 euros if you buy a city tour card or welcome card which we did.

“A worthwhile place to visit.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2011

The stadium is so impressive as a sporting venue and as a piece of history.
As you approach the arena it is almost colosseum like and inside you can imagine how exciting a match would be here, the acoustics are amazing! The ticket allows you to wander pretty much where you like but only yours take you backstage.
We were lucky to have fabulous weekend weather so the Olympic Pool was packed with families, there was a Hertha reserves match taking place and a World Polo Championship happening - quite a day to visit.
The ticket includes the Bell Tower and it's worth the walk round, the views are superb and history and architecture really interesting. The original bell from the tower is in the stadium grounds - find it it's worth a look.
Overall excellent value for history and interest.
