arrived in Berlin by bus from Glasgow ( I know right???) and only 3 stops took me to Charlottenberg on the S-ban. You can actually see the hostel from the platform it is that close, so only a min walk across the road.
reception is in the walk in dining/communal area and check in is strictly from 2pm. we arrived early and enjoyed a really cheap beer while waiting ( between 1.50-2 euro!!!)
we booked a twin private room, and here is the only draw back, no lift. 4 floors up, but we had a decent sized twin with 2 clean and comfy beds, a wardrobe and a good sized modern shower room. overall I was well impressed.
towels were changed daily and beds tended, which I didn't expect.
Lots of info at reception in form of brochures and money off books. It was about 4 stopd, max 10 mins, on S=ban to centre of town and only 2 stops to the Zo park where all the tours start from.
I will definitely return to this hostel on my next trip to Berlin, the area has plenty of bars and cafes, but is so quiet at night you don't realise its a main city!
