We've stayed at this hotel just before new year's and were very pleased with the entire experience.

Bathroom is really nice, with heated floors and TV.

Bang Oflusen TV in room was a special touch!

Our daughters room had the TV's (both) broken...maintenance came and fixed both.

Internet access was expensive and very poor service/signal...I don't understand why some hotels still charge for internet!

The location was a very nice surprise...there is a mall, a casino, a theater, cinema, restaurants just across the street...and Postdamen platz just 2 blocks away.

The only perk was one of the lobby bar waitress...she gave us sarcastic responses like, when I asked for a diet coke and she responded that she only has 2 hands...very rude since I was being kind...totally unnecessary!

Anyway....it was a great stay overall.

had a junior suite with a view access to the club , check in was quick they did it at the room . the suite was large , beautiful modern bathroom has the dressing inside which is commen in hyatt brand . the staff i encountered are all very nice starting from the door to the room service to the reception .
superb room quality with all the amenities you need . i only had a room service they were great attentive, quick, and polite
location : on your wright side you have the sony center full of places to eat on the left side you have again the Arkaden with stores , convenient stores and places to have a quick meal if you like. by taxi less than 10 euro you can go the the friedrichstrabe i think this is the new place for shopping by the way taxis are very easy with polite drivers they can speake litte english but this was no problem.

Room Tip: non i think all the rooms are good

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt over Christmas holiday during our honeymoon. It's in a great location with easy access to the U and S metro lines. It's also across from a mall and a Starbucks. They have a cool bar with a swanky fireplace that I particularly enjoyed. My favorite part is their giant Buddy Baer in the lobby. It's stainless steel and I think it was sponsored by Krups. I wanted to take him home with me.
The rooms are nice. The bed was really hard for my taste but that might just be a German thing. Perhaps it's better for the back but I felt like I was sleeping on a concrete slab. The B&O TV remote is a nice touch although it's really, really heavy so be careful if you're not fully conscious when using it. You could seriously hurt someone with it.
I would request a room facing out, rather than inside the courtyward. We had an inward facing room and the view wasn't so good. But I imagine the outside facing room, particularly the one's higher up would be awesome.
Go to the spa on the top if you can. They have a lovely outside rooftop deck where you can enjoy spectacular views of the city.

Room Tip: Higher outside facing rooms would be the best choice.

Spent 3 nights in December 2012 at the Grand Hyatt. Having stayed at their New York hotel we had great expectations. Firstly the breakfast is ridiculously expensive at 35 euros. Service in the bar area is glacially slow and disorganised. When we ate in there we complained to the manager who was floating about and yet we still had to wait 25 mins for a second drink ! They did wipe the meal and drinks from our bill. The following day after being out of the hotel all day we came back to our rooms not being cleaned despite leaving the sign on all day for them to be cleaned. The cleaning trolley had not moved from the corridor all day! Another free drink at the bar whilst we waited. Also according to the concierge you cannot get Sunday brunch in Berlin! Wrong, we managed it. The hotel is in a great location with an excellent cafe attached ( not the in house restaurant) but just needs some better management.

Room Tip: We had corner rooms which were huge with tv in bathroom

The Hyatt in Berlin is a good business hotel with modern style. The location is great, being a 10 minute walk to the Brandenburg gate (and can proceed to the Unter den Linden street), and the hotel is right next to the Tiergarten and the Potzdamer Platz.

Hotel facilites are good, all what you would expect from a business hotel. Wifi internet works well (btw for multiple devices), all over the hotel automatically. Therefore you don't have to worry about the hassle of logging out and back in.

I would recommend this place for short stays, and for those who have time to walk around the city.Great value for money!
