Finally back in the great city of Berlin to see our son after nearly 2 Covid ravaged years. Max Brown sounds perfect; inexpensive, good location, post-industrial chic.
On arrival, greeted by un-friendly form filling stern reception lady; room nice but not amazing (admittedly mid-range price), shower tiny (nylon shower curtain, yuk!).
Main complaint: no hotel bar....I mean I know us Brits like a drink, but what is going on-
apparently you can have a drink in the attached Benedicts breakfast/restaraunt if dining there, but that is independent to the hotel; bottled beer available at the reception for 5 euros- weird and wrong. Are all the hotels in the chain like this?
Feels like an odd mix to me- external eaterie and no bar.
Amazing king size bed though!
