The Hotel in the south of the city near the Grunewald (Green Wild forest) about 20 minutes walk from the railway station with trains to the city and Potsdam. Grunewalt station also includes Platform (Gleis) 17 where the Jews were gathered to put on trains from 1941 - 1945 a harrowing experience but a necessary visit.
The hotel is a former house built in the early 20th century but in a Tudor style with lovely rooms. The hotel has been expanded to include a fantastic spa with pool, sauna and steam bath and a gym. There is also a large glass conservatory where residents have breakfast.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We dined on two evenings with fantastic the Michelin Star menu.
The hotel was very quiet being late October and we had the spa to ourselves on some occasions.
The rooms were excellent with large TV with cable TV. The mini-bar in the room was free!More
