I booked this apartment the 15.09 of September for the period of 30.10-03.11. Unfortunately I had made an error , and I booked two apartments so I humbly asked to Martin M. (The host of the house) to take only a part of cancellation fees (I am an Italian student 18 years old) ,the house cost 379€ and cancelling more over of two months before I have received only 166€. TripAdvisor took the fees of 46€ and Martin other 166€. He said that he couldn't give me anything (despite I didn't cost him anything) if no-one book again the house, he also said the same thing to the costumer service (with whom I have spoken before). Fortunately another person booked the house for this period (I saw on TripAdvisor because Martin didn't tell me), but he said that have to wait until the end of the booked period (03.11). I wrote to him another email, and at the first he didn't reply. Some days later I wrote him another email and he said that he didn't refound me because I didn't give him my IBAN code. I sent to him another email with the code but anything . It's over a week that I am waiting, for tree days booking a trouble of three months. Legally he could be ok (I had made the mistake) but morally? Hoping that everyone would think a lot before booking his apartment.
Nice apartment in former shop with entrance directly to calm and pleasant street. Close to subway station Hermannplatz and lots of Kebap-places and cafés in the neighborhood. Neukölln is cosy but not yet as gentrified as parts of Kreuzberg.
The hosts were very accommodating and the the key box outside the door worked perfectly.
The apartement is not particularly remarkable but definitely worth the money.
Easy booking and flexible check in ... that was really appreciated.
The flat is well equipped, large and greatly located near shops, restaurants, parks and public transport.
It was very hot in Berlin at that time and cross ventilation was sometimes not so effective.
I will visit again !
