We have only visited the Puppet museum! it is very nice, well arranged and managed to create a cozy, yet somewhat spooky atmosphere. There are translations for all puppet arrangements on display, so it is easy to find out more about the stories and/or the shows where they featured. Most of the shows are based on German stories, so we did not find many known stories. However, there are several places where children can actually play (some movement sensors for older kids, fully equipped shop with counter, baskets, products, etc. for small kids, the ginger bread house with a cauldron and many things to boil a potion). Plus there are two small rooms where they play famous TV series based on some of the puppets on display. Because of these you can spend about an hour or two with kids, otherwise the visit is probably less than an hour. For a winter morning it provides really good entertainment when you travel with kids! Otherwise it is probably interesting for people working in the field or very passionate about puppet theater.
