Description: The Regensburger Wheat-brewery was founded in 1620 as a municipal enterprise. At present this brewing tradition, in accordance with the Bavarian Reinheitsgebot, the purity requirement, is being continued successfully by the family Deutsch, a line of publicans and butchers. Using a house-own recipe and directly in front of the customers, light and dark wheat beer as well as bottom-fermented beer are being brewed.

Thanks to previous reviews, we chose to eat at this terrific restaurant. We enjoyed delicious meal(s) and great service in a very nice cozy ambience. Our entrees were pork medallions in a mushroom sauce with spaetzle covered with melted cheese (a memorable meal), and duck with red cabbage and knödel. We were seated near a polite, non-intrusive group of 10 having a German-hosted business dinner with Chinese visitors (speaking English), which indicates local appreciation of this venue. The English menus were thoroughly descriptive

We happened upon this restaurant while looking for dinner late one evening. It's a two-story building with seating on both floors, dark and pub-like but family friendly. One server spoke excellent English, another not so much, but everyone was friendly and accommodating, and the food was well presented and excellent!

Arrived late to hold some tables for late night drinks with friends. This was the only place that was open later than 11pm, till 12am, in old town Regensburg. We ordered food for our friends who were going to be late as the kitchen was closing soon--and they kept the food warm until our friends arrived. Had a bunch of lagers and Weisbiers from their brewery--good tasting beer for a very reasonable price. We commend the staff for being so accommodating. Danke Schön!

In mid may offering a page of specials celebrating their White Asparagus season. Beautifully cooked asparagus tagliatelli with wild garlic was excellent. Large portions of meat served. Had the pork fillet with the best cheese macaroni ever and along with mushroom sauce, delicious. Very professional service and excellent beers. Highly recommended.

Very good traditional Bavarian fare with a few more modern dishes (salad, fish, vegetarian). Service was very friendly, the portions are huge, so even though everything was very tasty, we didn't manage to finish our food.
