If you want to dig deeper into the nazi history, this place is for you. Its a large exhibition which is very nicely covered by the audio tour.

The unfinished 50,000 stadium intended to have a roof but construction stopped with the war. This is one of the areas where the Nazi Party met at annual congress. Much of what remains is easily seen and remembered.

Anyone visiting Nuremberg needs to come and experience what the grounds have to offer. Again, they are easily accessible from the city centre and host an in depth museum as well as the opportunity to walk around the massive complex.

Word of warning, you’ll cover some kilometres if you want to see the whole complex so bring appropriate footwear! Similarly, the museum is extremely popular, especially with schools so just be patient upon entering. The crowds think out as you enter the exhibition as everyone moves at different speeds through it.

Whilst it’s a bit of a trek to see the grounds, it’s definitely worth the walk around the lake to see the imposing architecture and is incredibly sobering to stand in on the podium where hate was preached from.

Our world would be different today if this building had been able to be finished and the Nazi regime would have grown more powerful. Not a better world, that is for sure!
The emotions of driving through it and hearing the history from our very knowledgeable Viking tour guide were also powerful.
Thank God, the German government are keeping these "memorials", so that we don't forget and let history repeat itself.
I have this such a good review, because it is one place on our tour that I will never forget.
