We went to the Residenz Munchen for an afternoon activity. It was great to see, so sad that so much of it was destoryed in WWII, but it has been rebuilt. A brief history of the German monach would of been good for us so we could of got more out of it. Very large and it takes some time but it is good to see.

This place is simply beautiful.
Even if you neglet to get all the historic details about it - it's simply so nice to just stroll in the numerous corridors and rooms of this lavish place.
For me, the highlight of the Residence was the Antiquarium, which is simply mind blowing.
Do yourself a favour and take 2-3 hours to visit this place. I'm sure you'd love it.

Of all the Wittlebach palaces, this is the least interesting. If you have the time, visit one of King Ludwig's castles in the surrounding area. They are infinitely more interesting.

The architecture is impressive. We only looked at it from far away so I cant say anything about the details. We went there in the evening and it was so nicely lightened up.

We had only two hours to walk around, and it would be best to have the whole day for this Palace
