We stayed at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten during the mid-November off-season in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
Although we stayed in a double, our room was very large, with a queen-sized bed, desk, large armoire, and a round kitchen-style table. The private bathroom with shower was relatively small, but otherwise fine. A very good value for the price of 77 euros per night. The rate also included a typical but good quality breakfast of rolls, meats, eggs, cheeses, jams, fruit, juice, and coffee. (Breakfast is served in the hotel's restaurant, however, the facility was otherwise closed for the season while we were visitng. In fact, about half of the town's restaurants and hotels were also closed during the November off-season.)
The hotel really is conveniently located across the street from the train station, maybe a one-minute walk, if that. We easily reached other nearby attractions from the hotel on foot, as used the local bus system for farther locations like the Olympic Ski Stadium and even the Neuschwanstein Castle (a two-hour bus ride, but inexpensive and beautiful through the Bavarian countryside).
