For the price point, this Hotel was ideal for our time in Bad Reichenhall. There is an onsite parking lot. While not in the center of town, you can walk to some beautiful park and commercial areas. The downtown area is compact and easily accessible by car and bus. The room could use some updating, but it has all of the basic amenities of modern travel - wifi, small fridge, shower and bath with body wash and shampoo, in room safe, and the like. Our room was in the annex building behind the main house and had a nice little deck with table and chairs, and an awning to protect from mountain showers. It was perfect for drinking a glass of local wine and looking at the mountains looming overhead. The staff, while not speaking much English and we not speaking any German, still managed to be quite helpful. They even agreed to do a small load of laundry for us. The breakfast buffet was very varied and quite tasty. Oh, and a final benefit is that it is in easy walking distance of the Rupertus spa complex with indoor and outdoor pools. We were quite pleased.

Only stayed 1 night but was a very nice hotel, close to town and Rupertus Therme.Room was clean and fairly large with a nice balcony. Breakfast was perfect with many choices and lots of coffee. Would stay again.

Charming small hotel, service far beyond our expectations, nothing was a bother. Breakfast was superb, better than many 5 star hotels. Very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean, 10 minute walk to center. Bad Reichenhall is a fabulous little town, be sure to visit the Konigliches Kurhaus and park, historically interesting, and beautiful.

Room Tip: Rooms in the main building are better, and the back is quieter.

I stayed in the Hotel Almrauch for one night during a business trip.
My room was not in the main house, but in a little extra building behind the house. The room was ok, but not more. Especially electric outlets for not really fixed to the wall. I was not sure if it was safe to use the one in the bathroom as it was far from looking normal. I found a hair in the bathroom which was not mine - I guess I am not too picky, but this is not extreme great.
Location of the hotel is very good. You can walk in a few minutes to the city center and train station. There is parking behind the house and you can also park in the street at night.
The included breakfast is fantastic. It is a buffet with anything you can imagine. There is a big tea selection. During the night, you can take drinks from the bar and pay when you check out. Service was good - especially in the morning.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the main house.

We love this family run hotel with a good location easy walk to the koor garden and town, outstanding breakfast, and good WIFI@ 15mbps. We like room #1 it is large with a small kitchen and large bath. Lots to see and do in area. Only 6 Km to Austria where gas is 20% less in price

Room Tip: All rooms nice, no elevator so you may consider a low floor room
