It is located between a park and the shopping district. My room looked over the park. The bed was comfortable and I had a little sitting area.
We had drinks in the lobby bar, nice setting overlooking the park. The bathroom very small, but had everything you need. The breakfast is very good. I was tired the first night and ordered room service. A panini and a very fresh salad hit the spot. They have a fantastic 1 Star restaurant that is divine.

Good but not as good as the Steigenberger Graf Zeppelin a block away. We arrived a few hours before check in, so our room wasn't ready. We waited in the bar for hours. Finally, after checking three times and an hour PAST check in time, our room was ready. They gave us a free drink coupon for our wait, but it was only good for a non-cocktail. A caesar salad was so-so. A hard bed, but that’s a German thing. My wife says the hair dryer was of poor quality. Breakfast was nice, and it's really great that it starts at 6am for the many European Delivery visitors, but again, the Graf's is better.

This is a fantastic hotel for your stay in Stuttgart. Directly across the street from the main train station, it's easy to get to, and then a great location for any of your travels within the city. There are also a few u-bahn stations within a 10 minute walk. You're at the start of the shopping/pedestrian area of Konigstrasse. Plazas where fairs and festivals are held are just a 10 - 15 minute walk. There are so many people out walking at night, we felt safe everywhere we went.

As for the hotel, we thought it was first-rate. The room was large and comfortable, with two comfortable chairs, a desk, and a large wardrobe. The bathroom was also large and well appointed. The gentleman servicing the room each day was outstanding, and took care of any request we had. We also found the reception and bar staff to be equally helpful. Our only negative experience was the garden cafe; the service was terrible. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day, but it was so bad we did not try again.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel for your stay in Stuttgart.

Room tip: Ask for a room away from the elevators.

Stayed at the Althoff for 2 nights. The hotel has a central location just off the main shopping district. We found the rooms cramped and not as modern as the website would have you believe. Bathrooms felt dated (yellow square tile, tan walls, etc...) and the double twin comforter on the bed was uncomfortable. Front desk and bell staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, a decent hotel but could use a facelift.

Located right next to the Stuttgart train stations (both the S-Bahn and the DB). The location is ideal if you are planning on taking the trains. Booked through LHW I received a free upgrade and had a nice view. Stuttgart was warm the week I stayed, but no issues with cooling in the room.

Amenities are a little limited as I don't believe they have a gym/pool, but the park is next door for a run/walk.

Staff was very welcoming and had dinner one night at the bar. Food was very good, but the bartender's knowledge of craft cocktails was amazing. He really took the time to make the cocktail perfect. The bar alone is worth a visit
