Well, this should be the best Baden-Baden has to offer, but for non-german this was a disappointment.

The style of the food was dull, and the quality questionable. The salads straight out of the plastic bag etc.

Seemed to be in favor of local people over 65 years of age.

Don't understand the high rating this place holds.

Schneider's Weinstube is really worth a visit. The owner were incredibly nice and found us a place even if we didn't make a reservation. We were seated next to two couples who welcomed us and also gave us some winerecommandations. Then the owner came with his special menu for tonight and presented it so amazingly describing each dish lovingly that i just needed to try something from there even if i just wanted a Wienerschnitzel. We felt really welcome and the dinner was incredible. My mother tried two of their Michelin awarded dishes and was amazed. They were incredibly tasty. I would totally repeat the vist. In the end i came out rolling i ate that much. Really worth a second/third/forever again visit

The first time we tried to eat here we were unlucky, it was fully booked. The next time we were fortunate - there was a cancellation. From the warm and personal welcome onward the dinner was a great experience. The food was delicious, the service great and the bill reasonable for the quality of the meal. We came back for more the next evening and were, again, lucky and secured a table for another super meal.

Bookings are a must at this place. Our hotel made them for us after we couldn't do a walk in. We made the booking for 6:30. Herr Schneider warmly welcomed us as did his wife. We were seated and given menus. Drink orders were taken. Presented with bread and a house made cheese to nibble on. Lots of great choices to ponder. Opted for the pike dumplings in lobster sauce with a small salad to share. Husband opted for the pot roast. Both came with noodles although they were happy to sub in spaetzle. OMG, those dumplings were amazing. I think in French they are called quenelles de brochette. Very rich. Pot roast was good, meat so tender in a sweet sour sauce. meantime the place was filling up but no one rushed us as we sipped our wine, had liqueurs (schnapps) and a lovely berry compote. Just an amazing warm place with a lot of locals and a few tourists like us who obviously read Trip Advisor.

We had dinner tonight with a party of 6. Herr Schneider is the most welcoming host. We had fish soup and schnitzels. Both were perfectly cooked. They also have a big collection of schnaps. We loved the interior of the restaurant. Great athmosphere. Hope to be back one day.
