Of course, we might have seen it coming, but we regretted not going to the pizzeria on the main road: it has a nouveau riche style and the food is pretentiously looking supermarket food. The mellow background beat didn't make it any better. The view was nice though, as was the personnel.

not cheap - we paid 45 euro per head (table of 8 pax) for 2 courses (burger and chocolate mousse) with 2 bottles of wine and an aperitif. But food was very good as was service and would return again.

We rode the Omnibus boat over to Angon to hike up to the waterfall (but that is a separate review), so after our hike, we walked to the port to look for a restaurant.

The L'Aquarama is right next to the launch ramp and the Omnibus pier, so we thought "why not here".

The service staff were all very friendly, the drinks were cold and the menu had a nice list of items to select from.

My wife had a BBQ mix of chicken, beef and duck with a salad. My son had chicken on stick, with fries and I had grilled chicken and salad with fries (fries come with just about everything in France!).

Each dish was excellent, and we followed our meal with various ice creams and I had fresh strawberries and whipped cream. My wife and I had espressos with dessert, and they were great.

They have deck seating, under very large shades, facing the Lake. So you are constantly entertained by people going by on water skis, wake and skim boards.

If you are ever in this area, do not fail to try a meal here, the food is great, the viee is great and the staff is very friendly. And oh yeah, the hang glider people are constantly flying overhead!

We were in a cabin on the site to which this restaurant is attached and, although we had a reasonable lunch the day before, for our last night we had Dinner(all 13 of us!). What a shambles.

5 of our number had a starter, we all had main courses. The waitress came out carrying 4 main courses, nodded to us to follow her to a table set for us and plonked them down in the first 4 places nearest to her. Next, a waiter came out with the starters. When I queried why he was mixing starters with mains, he didn't seem to see it as a problem.

We got that sorted but from then on we couldn't drag a smile out of any of them. An omelette came as a main which looked like it only had a passing relationship with an egg and was tiny with no filling. We asked for more chips, as they had only given us enough for about 8 people. Sorry, no more chips so we settled for boiled potatoes. The rest of the food was ordinary.

When they started tidying the chairs and tables ready to close, and turning off the lights, we decided to take the hint and leave.

We guessed they were serving us under sufferance and were using the last of the week-end's food(it was Sunday night).

The cabins were terrific but there are too many other restaurants around to use this one!

We first stumbled across this place on our first afternoon camping, so decided to have a beer in what promised to be a beautiful setting. We were greeted by a frantic, surly and dismissive waiter who brought our beers (which were slightly overpriced).

We enjoyed the view immensely, and thought that maybe dinner here might be better.

Came back for dinner, and was greeted by the same surly dismissiveness (different person however). This in itself does not warrant such a review. However, the menu choice was really limited and - for the money - just was not good.

And because they got busy later on in the evening, it took absolutely ages to get the bill.

Such a shame - amazing space (ie views), but needs to do much more.
