The rooms are so ridiculously noisy you may as well be sleeping in the bar.
In the middle of town but you can’t sleep so the convenience of being in the town is outweighed by the noise. Do not book unless you plan on going to bed at 4am. The staff don’t care.

The room was clean and quaint but it did lack a mounted shower which made showering a bit difficult! There were some nice touches such as shower gel, shampoo etc but there was no tea or coffee which we missed. The hotel is really central, not far from the main bus station and cable car up to the slopes but because it was so central it could get a bit noisy (music from bars and people shouting). However, we did enjoy our stay and the staff were always friendly.

3rd year in Megève and I still love this place. Food is just amazing - small menu, cooked excellently. Service is attentive, friendly and so welcoming. We went for an evening meal, lunch, coffee and après ski so happy to do it all! The lounge is just lovely, the restaurant warm and welcoming and it’s central location makes it great for people watching.

The hotel is situated in the very centre of Megève in the pedestrian aria, but the underground parking "du Casino" is just 50m away.
Although tiny, we found the room which had wooden beams very cosy and clean, with a tiny bathroom which was still very functional.
We've been here outside the season so it was very silent, although we could recognise the church bells and the river, which we love.
The continental breakfast was good and the breakfast room pleasant. The staff was nice and helpful as well.
We ate in the typical hotel restaurant for dinner, and we had a tasty home made burger. They also serve typical cheese specialities like tartiflette, fondue and Savoi style chicken, reason why there can be a cheesy smell coming from your neighbours table. But if you visit this region, you have to be aware, that in any typical Savoi restaurant you will get to smell the local Reblochon cheese.

Dear Sir, dear Madam,

Thank you for taking the time to put pen to paper and share your experience of the Cœur de Megève.
We are lucky enough to have just about the best possible location here in the village, and that is a lot to live up to. Thankfully you also mention our welcoming chalet style interior and cosy rooms as well as our friendly , professional staff.
The Out of Season atmosphere is certainly quite different, but the aura of calm and tranquillity and the beauty of Megève decked in its autumn colours make this a very special time, a time to reconnect with nature and recharge your batteries.
We will end on a savoury note with a little anecdote about our famous Reblochon cheese ; did you know that it was created as a cunning way for local farmers to get round the pre-Revolution milk tax ? Farmers would half milk their cows and pay the taxman and then do a second milking with which they made this delicious local speciality. Enjoying a tartiflette or a cheese fondu is actually quite a subversive activity !
Thank you once again for your comments, we look forward to welcoming you back to the Cœur de Megève in or out of season.
Kind regards

Thérèse Blay

This family run hotel is ideally located right in the centre of the ski resort. It is hospitable, efficient and modestly priced. The owners strike a nice balance between efficiency and quirkiness. Breakfast can be enjoyed overlooking a stream which runs through the centre of town. To top all that there is a jazz club in the basement!

Room Tip: All are good but I always try to get 34
