A convenient place to stop while walking/shopping in Lyon. The wait staff was friendly. Several items we tried were very good and a couple were very average. Would not revisit with so many other restaurants to try.

Popped in here for lunch after visiting the nearby cinema museum. Seated straight away near the door. What we didn't realise is that the restaurant would appear to be in 2 parts. So that staff were constantly coming in and out the front door carrying food, taking orders, etc. It was a freezing winters day so not only did we get a cold draft every time the door was opened and closed but the staff didn't always close the door. This meant that we and a lady at a table next to us had to keep getting up to close it.
Apart from that the food was reasonably good and tasty. Service was also good. Price was also reasonable - we had the fixed price menu.
Rating would probably have been better had we been seated elsewhere.

We ordered crepes, the Jarreton (ham hock) and dessert and all was truly delicious. The ham was perfectly cooked, moist and succulent, the potatoes au gratin splendid and the crepes, well they are sweet and satisfying. The staff is very helpful, don't let the lack of an English menu scare you off, they will explain what each item is and how it is prepared.

Really good crepes but the crepes selection is smaller than few years ago. Worth popping in as its a nice place to chill for a little bit.

My daughter and I were walking around the old town area of Lyon and looking for a restaurant on a Monday night. Many we passed were closed- either we were too early, late, or Monday is a day off.
So we chose Le Petit Glouton because it was available, not knowing reviews. We were both satisfied with our meals. My daughter had the saumon and liked it. I selected Quenelle de brochet without much idea of exactly what I would be getting. The fish had been finely ground so there was not much texture. Flavor was fairly delicate as well, and enhanced by lobster sauce like in Chinese restaurants. Dauphinoise potatoes and green beans were the accompaniments. My house white wine was fine. Our total bill was 33.85 euros.
