We stayed at the Ibis Style Part-Dieu in August 2018, as a family of 4, with 2 young children. We booked the family room. The hotel is less than 100m walk from the Part-Dieu station, very convenient. In the same building you can also find a Mercure and a Ibis Budget establishment.

The room was clean, comfortable and of decent size. Especially the bathroom, with a separate space for the toilet is of ample size. For more aged travelers: the bath is quite deep.

The double windows (not only double glazing, but literally double windows) ensured that no outside noise can be heard. A good night sleep is guaranteed.

The cleaning was impeccable and the room was air-conditioned.

The breakfast was offered from 06:00-11:00, plenty of choice, with possibility to press your own orange juice. There is also a coffee corner at the lobby where you are offered coffee, tea, cookies and pastry throughout the day, very nice touch.

The kids received their own "kids pack" upon arrival which includes a backpack, sunglasses, lollipop and a frisbee. Also there is a kids corner in the lobby where they can play with guignols.

Just one detail to remember: if you plan to book a family room, bear in mind that there both beds are put in the same space, with no separation in between. This means if you travel with young kids as we did, when they go to sleep early in the evening, the adults must find ways to spend free time in the same room without making too much noise or using too much light.

After a long trans Atlantic flight and a train ride from CDG, we were delighted to find a clean, quiet hotel just steps from the station. Clean, quiet, comfortable. The staff was p,easing and breakfast was very nice. Highly recommended!

Booking the hotel was straight forward, as is with most establishments nowadays.

Upon booking, I made it clear that I would require gluten-free and dairy-free options; this was done at least 3 weeks before our arrival. The breakfast options were generally limited, to say the least, and the cutlery was often dirty/poorly washed. There was NO gluten-free cereal provided throughout our four night stay. There was also NO dairy-free options available on our fIrst morning.

There were also no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms. Nonetheless, the room size is small, though adequate just for sleeping. The staff were friendly, though communication was challenging at times due to some not being conversational in English (or perhaps not wanting to make the effort). Though umbrellas were made available to guests, which was a nice touch.

Overall, the hotel seems best suited for a one-night stay, rather then a long stay.

Dear unene12,

Thank you for taking time to review your stay with us.

We are sorry that your stay did not match your expectations.

Regarding the cleanliness of the dishes, please be assured that we will share your comment with the Food & Beverage Manager in order to control the Professional Dishwasher (check if any malfunction) and to take the necessary measures to ensure a better quality of cleaning.

At the present time, the hotels of the Ibis Styles brand do not offer gluten-free products but it could evolve in view of higher demand .

Furthermore, and although the room may be small (despite its 17m²) it does not detract from its functionality and comfort.

Hot and cold refreshments are served all day long at the ‘conviviality corner’.

We're looking forward to welcoming you once again.

I loved this hotel! It's great for visiting Lyon whether by car or public transport, situated next to the Gare Part Dieu. Our room overlooked the train tracks but there was no noise either from outside or other guests as the rooms are very well insulated. Ibis rooms are often compact but there is everything you need, plus a good bathroom with interesting stone decoration on the floor. There is parking for Euros 15 per day if you need it and tram stops close by that will get you to the city centre in 10 minutes. A great wifi guide to Lyon pops up when you connect; pick up a free city plan at reception or ask for help - the staff are super friendly. The breakfast (included in the price) was good and varied enough that I found everything I wanted. Everything was fresh and cleanly presented. There are free beverages in the small reception area plus a kids play corner. Check-in and -out were easy and quick. Would recommend this hotel and hope to revisit some time - thanks guys!

Room Tip: I loved the view of the trains and the financial district

OK, it's an Ibis Styles. Spotless good value and right next to Part Dieu rail station which, if you are breaking a journey is great. Ibis Budget is next door and Mercure two doors away which has bar and restaurant but don't expect great cooking there. Ibis Styles does a decent easy breakfast with decent choices but does no other food at weekends. Location is probably it's best point for a night or two but it's out of the city centre.

Dear F1523XKdavidc,

Thank you for staying in our hotel and taking the time to share your opinion on Tripadvisor.

We are happy to notice that you have enjoyed the location of our hotel and our good value.

Indeed our restaurant is closed during the weekend but you can have snack available 24/7.
Also many restaurants are available in the district of Brotteaux, located 15 minutes walk from our hotel. Do not hesitate to ask for advice at the reception on your future stay.

Thanks to public transport, the “Part Dieu” district serves all of the tourist attractions of Lyon (“Vieux Lyon” & “Presqu’île Lyonnaise”) in less of 15 minutes.

I hope welcoming you again in Lyon.
