We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights as part of a pre-trip extension to a bike tour we were doing with VBT. If we were booking our own trip to Lyon, we probably would have overlooked this hidden gem because it wasn't super-close to major tourist attractions. However, it's only a few blocks from the Perrache train station and metro, and there was a tram stop just a block away, which made it super-convenient to get anywhere we wanted to go during our brief stay in Lyon. The Saone River was just a couple blocks away for a nice stroll along the promenade walkway.
We had a room in the "second" building. It was comfortable, had plenty of space and a narrow balcony that looked over the lovely courtyard below. The bathroom was on the smaller side, and the toiletries were a little skimpy, but it had a "proper" shower!
We took advantage of the comfy couches in the courtyard for late afternoon wine and snacks, purchased from the little Casino shop on the corner. Breakfast was plentiful and was never crowded. The staff were kind and helpful.
Overall, the hotel was a nice surprise and if I ever get a chance to visit Lyon again, I would definitely consider staying here.More
