I typically do not pursue Michelin restaurants, however since I'm from New York, I'm sure I've eaten at many of them.
I traveled with foodie friends on a ski trip to Courcheval. They have frequented this restaurant for several years. Since we were in a new chalet near Le Farcon, they contacted the chef, owner, to set up a meal a day, with each meal a surprise collection of courses. He complied with outstanding meals.
I never had what I would consider a normal dish there that I had had before.
The combinations of ingredients were things that I would never dream would fit together, yet alone taste so good.
All of the dishes ranged from very good to superb.
Outstanding!

An in depth exposure to Chef Julien's creative cuisine over a 2 week period (12 dinners & 2 lunches) leads to the obvious conclusion: Le Farcon is truly amazing in terms of creativity and cordial service! The numerous modern dishes, both on and off the menu, fish and meat, are full of surprises in terms of flavors and design. Wine pairings, aided by Luka, an outstanding young sommelier, add considerable value to the dining experience. The overall quality/price is noteworthy for a single Michelin star, especially when most of the plates are more satisfying than higher rated restaurants in Les Trois Valleys.

We visited here on a Friday night, we were surprised at how empty the place was, only a few of the tables were occupied.

The food is outstanding, really delicious. The menu is extensive and although the portions are small you leave feeling very full up because there are so many courses. There are lots of lovely touches added to the set menu.

The wine list was huge, a bit intimidating if you don't know what you want, but the waiters are very helpful and helped us chose a bottle. The wines vary in price and start at around €25.
Being a Michelin Stared restaurant it really is such good value for money, definitely worth a visit if you want to experience amazing food for a much better price than you would pay in england.

I ate here several times over two weeks at the end of January, beginning of February with my father and friends. The food is simply fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection, seasoned to the right degree and beautifully presented. Truly creative cooking with a high degree of skill and technical expertise. You will not find better value for money Michelin starred food anywhere in the Alps,. Definitely a must visit.

Having made several visits every year here since they opened, this year we challenged the chef and his team by dining here on 14 consecutive occasions. Every visit we thoroughly enjoyed Julien Machet's team's outstanding creative cuisine which was faultless in every respect.
The service, led by Aurelia was wonderful, attentive, yet discrete. The sommeliers' guidance and knowledge was perfect.
Unlike many Michelin establishments in Trois Vallees, they focus on quality, rather than maximizing revenue
When you receive the bill for the meal, you realize that this establishment is unique here in Trois Vallees in terms of price/quality. Amazing value!
Very highly recommended
