I reserved a three bed room for my group. You'll need to climb a small spiral staircase to reach your accommodations. The rooms are tiny with very small but comfortable beds. The shower nozzle was broken, but not to a point of unmanageable. I also noticed the heater didn't work, but it never got that cold because it was spring time. With a stunning view of Mount Blanc out the window, and the hotel right in Chamonix village, overlooking a few inconveniences wasn't a problem.

The hotels location is very convenient for shopping, eating and access to the ski lifts. The staff was friendly and spoke English well. Although the hotel luckily lent me an electrical adaptor, make sure you bring your own just incase if you need one. Also, opt out of the 10 Euro breakfast, better selections can be found near the tram in the morning.

I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend this hotel to friends and family, especially for the valued price and the prime location. I look forward to staying here again next snow season.

Room tip: The higher your room the more stairs you'll have to climb. Just a tip!

When we arrived to the room and started settling in realised that bins were not emptied after last guests, there also was an empty box from cookies and dirty(!) cutlery in the drawer, again must of left after last guests. Hotel has no parking which is real pain when u try to park cause town is quite busy and even pid car parks were full at a times! There is never anyone in the reception and reception shuts at 9 so in a weeks time i did not even managed to address my concerns. The walls of the hotel so thin that u can literally hear when someone is drying their hair or walking in the room. Our shower was broken, still usable but the shower head was constantly swinging to one side so we had to hold it with one hand while showering. On the 4th day of our stay there must be guests arrived into the room above and with floor being ridiculously squeaky i could not sleep or rest. We booked this hotel in a rush it was last minute decision to go skiing but definitely never would come back to this hotel. It is not even so cheap. And now it makes sense why we could not get an accommodation anywhere else except this hotel. There is no even basic cleanliness standards, the layer of dust on the headboard of the bed is ridiculous. Basically definitely not recommending to stay here if you want at least respectable standards and decent rest.

I've stayed at Le Chamonix on several occasions. It's welcoming, clean and cosy. The location is great, right in the middle of town and by the tourist office. There is some street parking but the town underground car park is only round the corner and is reasonably priced. The rooms at the back of the hotel have balconies and amazing views of Mont Blanc. Enjoy!

The Hotel Le Chamonix is a throwback to a simpler time in a wonderful place. The rooms are small but comfortable and probably haven't been remodeled in a decade of two. Having said that, it is refreshing to pay a reasonable price and be able to throw open the windows and gaze upon Mont Blanc! No elevator, but the staff was wonderful and made very good recommendations as to tourist and shopping suggestions.
If you're not afraid to climb 3 or 4 flights of stairs with your luggage, you will be rewarded.

Room tip: Ask for an upper room on the west side overlooking Mont Blanc and the Ti acros the street.

Nice and traditional rooms, with all necessities needed for a group of trekkers. Superb location in between the tourist office and the main street for shopping. On top of that, we woke up to the stunning view of Mount Blanc from our balcony.

Room tip: Room 101. Wake up to a stunning view of Mount Blanc!
