We chose this hotel for 3 nights as it was close to the rail and bus stations and reasonably priced. They are opposite! The room was slightly larger than expected although there are some that are smaller. It was on the 4th floor ad had ben refurbished proably like the rest of the rooms.
We liked the bed and kettle with tea, albeit not always refilled. We liked the bathroom but we didn't like the bath with an shower attachment but nowhere to fix it - it had to be held.
Reception were always friendly and helpful. Left our luggage here to collect later on in the day after booking out.
At the time of visiting (Oct 2013) there are substantial building and resurfacing works going on for the station concourse and from eary on this could be very noisy but on the 4th floor with the windows closed and air con on this was absolutely no problem.More
