Great place to stay!

Review of Hotel 96
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 24 Jun 2017via mobile
When arriving at Hotel 96 you don't really know what you are getting into because you drive some very narrow streets up to a gate that is marked with the hotel name and you can't see anything inside the walls.
Once inside there is pleanty of space and beautiful surroundings and we received the friendliest service there of all of the places we visited in France, where they welcomed us with homemade lemonade and helped us with our bags. The room was modern and clean and we could sit outside in the evening in a small terrace.
While visiting the Calanques, we had the ufortunate experience that someone broke one of our car windows and the staff at Hotel 96 was just amazing in helping us out with that.
A great place to stay outside of the center of Marseille if you plan on visiting the Calanques.

Quiet, hospitable and close enough to hike right to the park. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious including the coffee. The grounds are lovely and the staff extremely helpful with any questions.

Charming country hotel run by a charming family. Breakfast was amazing - a continental buffet served in the large homely (spotless) kitchen. Oranges to squeeze yourself with the press, fresh farm eggs to boil yourself to your liking, a huge selection of baked goods, many home made, fresh local fruits and amazing home-made yoghurt with apple puree. Our large room had a roll-top bath and separate rain shower. We had a superb, peaceful sleep and would recommend this haven a short drive from Marseille.

My partner and I extremely enjoyed our stay at Hotel 96 for the night! It's very isolated from the main roads, but bare in mind that it's a tad tricky to get there when travelling by public transports. However, we were welcomed by Sebastian, which was ever so friendly and helpful - with many suggestions regarding Marseille and specially restaurants! The room was excellent, the bed was big and very comfortable! As well as the shower. We had a room on the ground floor therefore we had a lovely open patio, that led into the garden and swimming pool - which is so cozy and different in a great way ((:

Lovely hotel on the outskirts of Marseille, thoroughly deserves it's high rating. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the staff friendly and welcoming. The pool area is lovely, especially on a hot day. It's kind of in the suburbs and not loads within easy walking distance; however there are a couple of restaurants in the nearest village which is a 10-15 minute walk away. Used the delivery service once and found the food to be excellent... the hotel sets the tables and provides bread, water, we etc. Only had breakfast once - nice but a little pricey when there are a couple of excellent bakeries within easy walking distance.

Great location if you have a car, the beautiful Calanques are nearby and Cassis is an easy drive away.
