Very close to the railway station and 5 minutes walk from the port. In nice old building. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, beds very comfortable but the room was dreadful. Dirty hand prints on the wall, loud noise of running water all night long kept waking me up, bathroom was disgusting, , toilet dirty and the sink did not appear to have been cleaned and crumbs on the carpet, could not wait to leave the following morning, thankful was only for one night!

A neat and tidy boutique hotel close to the railway station, a short walk to La Canebiere which will take you down to the Marina (Vieux Port) (20 mins), which offers excellent dining and you can explore the Old Town from here.
Has to win the prize for the smallest elevator....at least it was serviceable :)

Yes, the hotel has the perfect location but the room I received is just terrible!!! Mold in the bath, the room needs renovation. Sometimes hostels are even better. Reception is ok although she gave me not cleaned room for the first time and was very surprised when I was arguing to stay

A really lovely hotel to stay in. I had small but very cosy and comfy room with TV and shower room. There was high standard of cleanliness. The hotel is situated on a lively street hence for some peole can be little bit noisy even in the late evening/night. I like the hustle and bustle of the city so for me it wasn´t problem at all. Staff is friendly. Some of the receptionists have an excellent English, others on the other hand quite poor. The day I arrived the lift wasn´t working- my bad luck but this problem was fixed quickly. The lift was very tiny but did the job.The hotel has an excellent location to discover the city. Especially if you want to save on public transport and go on foot. Lots of sights are within walking distance. I travelled by Eurostar to Saint- Charles train station which is 10 minutes walk on foot from the hotel. Le Vieux Port is 15 minutes walk. Supermarket 5 minutes from the hotel. The tourist office, Palais Lonchamps, Le Panier district,Cours Julien and many more within walking distance. The hotel is located in the neighbourhood where is a lot of people of maghrebian origin. You will see more Maghrebians than French. Actually all around Canabiere, Le Vieux- Port and train station is like that. Just around the hotel there are people sleeping rough. Sometimes even literally in front of the entrance to the hotel. It is not very nice to have this sort of thing next to your hotel but... Anyway if you go by car in the evening you can see similar pictures in the streets of Marseille. I know when you read these lines it can be off-putting but if you just turn blind eye it shouldn´t spoilt your stay at this hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I had a pleasant stay there. When I go back to Marseille I will chose this lovely hotel again.

The best part of this hotel is location. If you take coach to get from Marseille airport you will arrive at bus and train station. They are altogether. To get to the hotel, once you got off a coach follow direction to train station and on exit gate you will see grand stairs. Go down, straight on and in 5 mins walking you will cross wide street, turn left and there will be Lutetia. The main street is just around corner. Yes, room is small, but bed is comfy. There is a wardrobe and small table. Aircon is a old fashioned but sufficient. We did not have breakfast at hotel because there are plenty little cafes around with reasonable prices. A cup of expresso is 1.50 euro.
There is free wifi. We had a room on the first floor and no problem with signal.
