OK - so this place is pretty well located right in front of the opera and a block from the harbour - but the rooms are as bare and basic as you could imagine and small (oddly, the bathroom was half the size of the bedroom!). It is cheapish - but there are a host of other hotels immediately nearby. If you want bare walls and a place that feels like a backpacker stay, I guess this is OK for you. For some reason they turned off the central aircon during the night and we sweltered.

The hotel is very near the old harbor so it is located in a strategic area, close to the tourist information office and the bus stop, and metro. I recommend this hotel if you need a cheap accommodation in the centre of the city. To get to the reception there is no lift! But there is a very small one to get to your room. The building is not very new but above all it is not too bad. The check in was easy and fast. The room and the bathroom were clean. The bed was not very comfortable. The hotel is 15 minutes away from the railway station. The staff is very kind, friendly and helpful.

A hotel across from the Opera in Marseille, two Metro stops from the central rail station and 100m from the waterfront of the old harbor. The room is minimal and very clean, air conditioned and draped adequately (for late risers). The hotel is located on the outer side of the block facing the harbor, so I guess all rooms have street views only. The staff is English speaking and extremely friendly as they helped us with any inquiry or difficulty. Breakfast is served on trays - a tray is prepared individually beforehand for the guest and has the basics: A Croissant, A Baguette, butter and marmalade, Coffee or tea. You don't finish breakfast feeling hungry however.
When we visited, the hotel did not seem to be packed with guests, so we enjoyed the quietness.

All the action in Marseille is either a short walk from the hotel, or a swift bus ride. Great hotel. I will definitely go there again.

Having stayed here for the football must say the location is great. However this place is very basic and has the feel of a hostel. Clean and tidy though apart from the previous occupants towel still hanging off our radiator. Would I go back? No.

Stayed here for a Euro's England game and very pleased with the location. The staff were pleasant and rooms were basic but clean. Very close to the main Marseille st Charles station and the old port. The state velodrome is also within half hours walking distance.
