We found this quiet and nice restaurant a short walk from the centre of Orange, by the stairway up to the park. They were really accommodating, and the food excellent. The children loved the pasta and we adults the seafood. We recommend the moules and the fish of the day-you get a whole fish and the taste is delicious.

My husband and I had a terrific meal here. The owner was busy but friendly. The restaurant and restroom were clean. The one dining room filled up quickly so it looked like lots of locals eat there. Prices were reasonable ($55 for two with wine). The salads are large ($9). We had a delicious lasagna and a lamb ragoût with white beans and vegetables. We liked the straight forward, home-cooked tastes and the owner's hospitality. We will return for lunch.

Thank Hulies

We stumbled upon this restaurant and were very glad we did. We ate both lunch and dinner there. La Cantina is built into the hill and the walls are made of rock - very quaint. As it is just a little way away from the center, it is less crowded, and cheaper than the majority of tourist restaurants. We had great salads for lunch. I enjoyed a whole sea bass for dinner -delicious! I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Went a couple of times on a work trip.
The pizza are all really nice, fresh from their wood fired oven.
Last visit, I had the cured ham appetiser and ravioli for main. Both really good.
Wine list is decent.
Fair prices, really friendly staff.

Eat here one evening after spending the day working in the Amphitheater around the corner. Joined a group that we were working with.

First the location is very deceiving, you think you are entering a normal building but inside you find yourself eating in a cave! But it doesn't feel claustrophobic at all and the smells from the semi open kitchen are great!

The food was second to non, there seemed to be a fair amount of fish on the menu but after explaining to the waitress that was not a fish fan she showed me the spread of fresh steaks they had, they all looked great but I was drawn to the 1inch thick slab of t-bone. Of-course I went for the biggest they had, cooked french. Was not disappointed when that was delivered!

The service was great throughout, staff where very attentive and happy to deal with the many requests coming from our table of 10!

Overall a nice, original place to eat, would highly recommend!

I cannot comment on the price, the company I was working for picked up the tab at the end of the evening.
