First of all I must commend the ease and joy of dealing with Rivieranrelax represented by Anita Forsling even before our arrival in Nice. All the transactions were prompt and professional. The customer service was absolutely exemplary.
For a reasonable transfer fee, we were met at the Nice airport by the wonderful Ms Forsling and transported to our lovely apartment in the heart of Nice. Once we arrived, we were greeted by one of her charming colleagues Lori, who helped us with our luggage to the 6th floor apartment serviced by a tiny elevators that necessitated us to do in two trips. The apartment building was built in the 1950's but is stylistically gracious and very quiet.
Lori proceeded to show us where everything was in the charming apartment and how everything worked. The apartment was excellently equipped, though our only quibble would be that the bedsheets and towels provided, could be improved upon. The top sheets did not fit the beds and the four towels provided for two people were quite basic and worn.
Nevertheless the beds were quite comfortable in spite of the rather inadequate bedding and the bathrooms were great with good pressure and lots of hot water.
We enjoyed lazy morning breakfasts on the lovely sunny terrace with fresh croissants from the boulangerie from around the corner and when it got too hot, the air conditioners soon cooled things down.
The wifi/internet access was solid and strong. The television was fine, however we didn't watch it preferring to relax with a glass of rose on the terrace and catching up with the news on our ipads.
The apartment is ideally situated and is a ten minute walk from the Vieux Nice and its markets, The Promenade Des Anglais and a fifteen minute walk from the train station which goes through a major big shop area. In fact we walked everywhere in Nice as it is so delightful a city. We only took the bus (which is the best deal as it only costs EUR1.50 per trip in comfortable modern vehicles and which allows you to enjoy sightseeing far more than the train) when we visited Beaulieu, St Jean Cap Ferrat, Monte Carlo and Eze Village. The French Riviera is absolutely glorious.
The neighbourhood around Rue Alberti is full of great little bistrots and shops of all kinds and all the people we encountered were very friendly and charming.
On our last day Ms Forsling and her colleague Lori came to fetch us at the appointed time and returned our deposit after quickly checking that nothing in the apartment was amiss. We were quite sorry to have to leave as we had enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Enjoyed a lovely 4 night stay in this excellently located apartment. Being on the 6th floor there are fabulous views over the Nice hills. With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen - with dishwasher (always good when self catering!), 3D TV, DVD player, hi-fi and aircon this is a great place to stay. It has a table and chairs on the sunny balcony to eat your croissants or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. Location wise it's hard to beat - a 5 minute stroll takes you to the Place Messena or promenade. Looking forward to returning already!
