Stayed 4 days in this hotel July 2011. The hotel has a great location 50 meters from the beach, which you can see from your balcony. There are fresh towels and cleaning every day, air-condition and that's about it. Friendly service and you can buy breakfast for around 7-8 €. The rooms are nothing special two beds and a table, and the bathroom and toilets are not the best standard, but everything works. So a good choice if you do not expect luxury, but just a place to sleep during your vacation.

Having been one of so many who were unable to get away due to cancelled flights. My wife and myself decided to head to the South of France by car. We had no idea where we were going to stay. having called at a couple of hotels in the Nice area and horrified at the prices we decided to travel to the Antibes area, namely Juan-les-Pins. A french man suggested the Hotel Coubet. The location was excellent, just off the sea front, balcony with sea view. Great welcome from the English speaking receptionist, very helpful in advising where to eat, Room was clean well presented with en-suite, fridge etc. Okay the bedside lights were not working but could still turn off lights by bed. View from balcony was good and had sun from mid day to evening. The weather was not hot enough to warrant using air con. so cannot comment. Beds made and linen changed daily and efficiently. Breakfast was available, but we decided to skip that and get down to the lovely beach and eat later. Nice coffee served. It certainly was not the Ritz but it offered excellent value for money if you are on a tight budget ( or you have just lost your money on a cancelled holiday). I would certainly return to this hotel.

This is not a favorable review, and I will really look to see if will be published. My advise, avoid as much as you can this hotel.

Keep in mind Hotel Courbet has a rating of 3 stars. Now look what kind of hotel you are trying to book. If you are getting there in the morning, you can't get in, the hotel is locked, you need somebody to get out so you can get in. Reception and concierge services only in the evening, the "hotel" has as personnel only one lady, who is receptionist, cleaning lady, hotel manager in the same time. The hotel looks really bad, dirty, traces of floods on the ceilings, very poor dirty rooms (extremely dirty carpet, cracked toilet and sink), with almost no furniture. Dirty towels are thrown away directly on the elevator floor, so people using the elevator have no choice but stepping on them. New towels are put in front of the door, directly on the floor carpet!!!, you may want to wash your face after that with them.... The big one is coming: south France, summer extremely hot and humid, you will like a cooler room. Even you have asked and paid for, air conditioning doesn't work, you will hear "temporary malfunction" because the lady wants to keep her 3 star rating, but look outside into the air conditioning units. They have bird nests in there, so no chance for air conditioning. The lady (the only hotel personnel) is very unfriendly, aggressive when you are making observations. So we left the next day, you cannot leave there for several days. You don't want to spoil your vacation, avoid this hotel, there are plenty other.
