My husband and I stayed at Chateau Eza for 4 nights of our honeymoon. We stayed in a deluxe room and were very happy with it. It was well worth the extra money to have a private balcony overlooking the hillside and sea coast where we could eat breakfast or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. The restaurant for dinner was one of the best tasting menus we had in France and well worth the price. We very much enjoyed the remoteness of the hotel, being that you have to climb the last bit on foot, up through the medieval village before reaching the hotel at the top, and the local tourists largely departed the village in the evenings. The hotel staff were pleasant, eager and helpful, and most spoke very good English. We rented a car from Nice airport and left our car with the valet at the base of the village. It was definitely the way to go. The only downside of our stay was the heat wave France was going through during our trip in late July (which is already hot) and it was a bit overwhelming for the A/C units. It was difficult to keep our room as cool as we would have liked overnight. Despite that small issue, our stay overall was delightful and an experience you do not want to miss.

Room Tip: Get one with a view!

Excellent staff. Hotel views are to die for. Resturant was first class and tasting menu was a real bargin. The village is a great place to wander around and shop at unusal stores. Bought several items including jewelry and clothing. Mountain top succulent garden was really unique.

Service was top notch. All the staff were very helpful and highly trained.

The two meals we had were great. Dinner was truly memorable, overlooking the Mediterranean and enjoying fresh fish cooked and presented delightfully. The breakfast got our day off to a to a good start with a fusion of American, British and French menu items.

Dual outlets in the bathroom - to fit your American shaver. A nice touch.

My husband and I travel extensively and we've stayed at some of the best hotels in the world. We appreciate the finer things, and this boutique retreat fit that bill perfectly. We booked to celebrate our anniversary, and booked the Panoramic Suite (Junior Suite level). From check-in to check-out, it was hands down 5 star.
The walk up to the property was gorgeous. It would be hard to do if you need assistance, but that's just Europe in general with stairs. Our room had a massive baloney with the BEST view on the property! And a jacuzzi. We were even welcomed with a beautiful, fresh bouquet of flowers for our anniversary as well in our room. That was a pleasant touch!
We had a rental car, and the rental car desk for check in here was fantastic. Simply drop your car at the bottom of the hill, and they park it for you and have it ready for you anytime you please.
Every staff member was exceptional. Anything request we had was taken care of immediately and every email was answered within minutes of me sending.
We did the dinner at the restaurant and they even gave us the private table on the balcony for our anniversary! We had the Chef's Tasting....highly recommend!! Prices were very good for the quality and service.
One thing I would like to note on checkout: We had a 7am flight out of Nice, and had to be at the airport at 5am for checkin, which meant we had to leave the property at 4am. The gentleman (don't remember his name) was the only one on staff at that early hour, and even though it was so early, he didn't even blink an eye to help us get our luggage down, pull up our car, check us out and get us going in time. His level of professionalism deserves the utmost praise!
We stay at 5 star hotels most of our travels, and this has got to me one of the highest on my list now. I did A LOT OF RESEARCH when booking this trip and our stay and I'm so glad we decided on Chateau Eza! Will definitely return!!

Room Tip: Panoramic Suite (Jr Suite level). Best balcony!! Has a jacuzzi, tub w/ a window. Best room on the property!
