The hotel is in a convenient position for public transport. It's literally across the road from the back of the train and bus stations. It's about a 15 minute walk to the main restaurant area and the sea front.
We had a room at the back of the hotel which was clean and warm. The hotel itself feels very safe as there are security cameras everywhere. There is also a free-to-use safe in the rooms.
Breakfast (by English price standards) was very expensive at EUR19 pp. However, the receptionist assured us that the going rate at most hotels in Cannes is EUR21, so I guess it was a bit of a bargain!
Speaking of receptionists, I feel I must make a special mention of Matilde who was on duty for the late shift for the 3 nights we stayed. She was incredibly helpful and friendly and is a real credit to the hotel. In addition to her native Spanish, she also speaks German and Italian as well as the excellent French required for her job.More
