“Sandy beach and easy walk from centre of Antibes”

Having walked around the old town of Antibes in the morning we walked from the old town to this beach (from the Cathedral Notre Dame and the ices Museum walk around the back of these and you will see the sea and the path that takes you all along the coast. It was a lovely walk along a flat path along the coast, with beautiful views, taking about 30 minutes of slow walking. We stayed on the sandy beach and swum in the sea for the afternoon. There are showers on the beach. Quite busy even in early September - it was a Sunday too - so not much room between everyone but the location and the walk to it made it worthwhile (there's a smaller beach very close to where we'd started in the old town but that looked very busy). The walk back to the train station, which is close to the marina, took about 40 minutes.

One of our favourite spots around Antibes, not on "Esterel" level for clearness of water and space, but easier to access and very good for where it is, great food cabins at regular intervals with fair prices and surprisingly tasty food. Disabled water sports and facilities centre should you need it. Gets very very busy as do all the beaches in high summer, stayed very hot until well into the evening this year so were able to miss (some) of the crowds, friendly Looky Looky men just trying to make a very hard living, but in no way are they in your face .......all in all a great stretch of coastline. Hard to park so be patient, very patient, expect to park a bit away unless very early morning or late evening, but all in all, a lovely stretch of sandy public beach.

Sandy, clean beach right in the old town. A lovely view, calm water. Good for families. Teens enjoy it in the evenings.

One of the better beaches in the area. Beautiful views, not DIRECTLY on the road and it has a small, shallow protected bay to swim in with only the softest sand under your feet!
Quite a small beach so best to go early.

We regularly visit the plage du Ponteil or Salis. It’s great to find an expanse of free clean and tidy beach. We can always find a spot to sunbathe even on a busy summer weekend.
The view is amazing all year round and we enjoy walking along the promenade even in the winter.
In May/June catch the local volleyball championships.
Renovations are taking place. The local yacht club has been pulled down and is being rebuilt along with a new promenade. Antibes is always striving to improve. Work will continue until mid 2019 but it will not restrict general access to the beach. I’m not sure about disabled access whilst work goes in. See photo attached.
