Description: "Le Petit Gourmand" is a typical french food small restaurant providing home made meals cooked by the Chef close to you as if you were at home. 16 seats inside and double possible outside during the beautiful season (outside terrace here may be used more than 6 months per year from Easter). We have a special meal called "Secca d'Entrevaux" (thin slices of dried beef with pesto, potatoe in a owen, hot melted cheese and mesclun). Other "must": fresh pastas with truffle, or fresh raviolis with foie gras inside and a few desserts that you may find all in our "Café Gourmand".The rest of the dishes are proposed according to the season.

Especially if you are a foodie and enjoy different foods and tastes. Out of this world! Amazing creation of foie gras raviolis and duck breast in fig sauce. everything we had was delicious. Saed is so friendly and funny. Our meal here was the highlight of our trip to Avignon.

Sat outside on a cooling autumn night, but had heaters, so not an issue. Attentive service. Recommend cannelloni as an entree.

Located on a street with no vehicle traffic the mood for the evening was set by watching couples and families strolling by with children and pets in tow. Very laid back with good atmosphere of dining outside. The kitchen appeared to be small and was the only part of the restaurant that was inside.

In keeping with the name, the menu was “Petite” in choices. Clearly this restaurant makes no attempt to be all things to all customers. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was excellent. Our orders included lamb and duck cooked to perfection. The wine suggested by our waiter was very good. The staff was very friendly and our evening was topped off by a tasty peach liquor aperitif compliments of the house.

We really can't see why this restaurant has such good reviews.
We went tonight, Sunday evening and at the beginning of service.
We were concerned about the constant beeping of a microwave in the kitchen!!! Not without reason, when we could see two from our table.
My husband had ' Roast Pork' Dish of the day' which was served with mashed potatoes and seemed to have capers in the sauce. We did quiz the waiter about it before, and he just said it's roast pork. I guess it had been sitting around since lunch time and this was 7.00pm and re-heated. Admittedly our French is limited, but that is an unusual combination...or maybe not for France, but it was v tough, making it unpleasant to eat.
I had the equivalent of veal stew with pasta. Again sounded delicious on the menu, was super tender but microwave re-heated, which leaves dry bits around the edges.

If they only have 4 choices on the
Menu, surely they could make them special.

And offer something freshly cooked to warrant the accolades.
