“Delightful meal”
Reviewed 17 February 2012

The British couple that run this restaurant deserve the accolades on trip advisor. The restaurant looks stylish, the welcome is warm, and the food is delicious, beautifully presented and reasonably priced.

“Great food, lovely service, warm atmosphere - definitely recommend!”
Reviewed 8 January 2012

We had a gorgeous night at Fou de Fafa - the owner is English (though obviously can speak fluent French) and she was just lovely - she made everyone in the restaurant feel at home, and was very helpful in recommending wines and dishes.

Our food was fab - would definitely write home about the goats cheese entree and the duck with orange & redcurrants for main... beautiful!

My fiancé has also been DREAMING about the banoffee pie for dessert - it was to die for!
To top it all off, the cheese platter was great and again our hostess explained everything in detail including where in the country all the cheeses were from.

The atmosphere in general was cosy and the prices very reasonable (especially as they do a entree/main/dessert deal - from memory I think is was around 26€).

All in all a gorgeous experience & I would definitely recommend dining here!

“Excellent food and attentive service”
Reviewed 30 December 2011

A great find. Antonia & Russell run a local gem producing fantastic food at relatively low prices. We have a holiday home in Avignon and since discovering Fou de Fafa last summer, it has become a firm favourite in all seasons.

“Great find. Perfect start to a great vacation!”
Reviewed 27 December 2011

My friend and I happened upon this spot first night after traveling from Chicago. This was the perfect beginning to a great trip. We were lucky enough to get in without a reservation because we were ready to eat before the rush. We walked by several times throughout our stay in Avignon and each night this place was packed! It's no wonder because both dishes ordered were great. I had the lamb and my travel pal had the duck. Atmosphere was relaxed. The owners were patient and helped to make some great pairings. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to Avignon.

“Excellent in Every Way- What a Find!”
Reviewed 17 December 2011

We were planning to see the Pont Saint-Bénezet at sunset and were walking casually through the streets of Avignon when we chanced upon this restaurant. We were fortunate not to have needed a reservation and were warmly greeted by the hostess who also ended up being our server. The atmosphere was wonderful, the food excellent and perfectly prepared and we were able to enjoy our meal in a relaxed setting, a bit off the beaten path but still an easy walk to the bridge. If you are looking for an excellent restaurant, reasonably priced with excellent attentive service, and not in a crowded part of town, look no further. Fou de Fafa is it!
