Went with tour group of 19. Started with aperitif of Cote de Rhône and local Muscadet which was quite yummy. Starter of foie gras was well received as were the moules and a chicken plat. Desserts of Creme Broulle and Apple Torte were uniformly rave reviewed. Nice setting and very friendly service. No idea of price as paid by tour leader.

I was searching on google maps for an interesting restaurant not too far from our airbnb by Avignon university and came across this place. On a Tuesday evening there were several groups there. We had a very helpful (and tall) young waiter and shared two starters between the three of us then all of us went for the mixed grilled fish. Delicious (see photo) and went down well with a delicious and reasonably priced bottle of red from the handwritten wine list.

This gem is not that easy to find, but it is a wonderful place to eat. No real view, but an eclectic decor with great staff and wonderful food. Check a map before walking to this restaurant as it is not easy to find, and it's even harder to find your way back to your hotel after dinner as the streets are a maze and not well labelled - but it is well worth the hunt!

Our hotel host recommended that we try Maison de la Tour and we were very happy we did. Tucked away on a small side street in Avignon, this restaurant and its staff were amazing. We had veal and grilled fish and it was professionally prepared and presented. The chef is clearly very talented. Would certainly recommend a visit.

This wonderful restaurant is quite difficult to find. It's small entrance is situated halfway down an otherwise deserted alley. But persistence paid off as we were welcomed into a magical place that felt like another world. We sat outside amongst the trees and strings of lights with a canopy overhead in case it rained (it did but c'est la vie). The food was wonderfully presented and served by the owner of this excellent restaurant. The mixed tomato and basil entree was fresh as was the pumpkin and mushroom soup. Two of our party had the sausage appetizer and it was very very good. The main course that delighted us all was the lamb. So tender with a lovely mix of flavours. Perfect.

The decor inside is eclectic to say the least but it works. Everywhere you look there is something delightful to behold. Well worth the hunt for this restaurant. An Avignon gem. Even open Monday night!
