We wanted 4 nights of luxury for a short stay in this undiscovered area.
We were not disappointed.
Lovely atmosphere
Lovely staff
Lovely food ( yes the menu is "fixed" but....wow.... every mouthful is heaven)
Space to be alone but never far from assistance if needed.
This hotel is on a working farm estate "mas" with rice fields all around. The only cautionary point to mention is you MUST remember to bring a good insect repellant as in the evenings the mosquitoes come out. Although on the plus side, the evening chorus of frogs and cicadas makes it worth the effort to go outside.
Owner makes an effort to talk to guests and is keen to let you know all about the area and traditions.
The hotel is a fair distance from civilisation "as we know it" so be prepared to drive if you want to eat in alternative places in the evening.
Nicely located to the less busy East side of the main national park, this hotel is perfectly placed for excursions to the reserve.
Would definitely come again.

Room Tip: North side seems nice and cool

Excellent place to stay. Renovated farm house that had been in the family a number of generations. It is rustic with great charm. Separate chamber accommodation providing all one needs for comfort.
Dinner can be enjoyed, a set menu is cooked by the chef.
Many activities available, horse riding, bikes, swimming pool, farm activities can be arranged as indeed 4 wheel drives through the Camargue area.
Hotel is well placed for many expeditions and sight seeing activities.
Can also be very relaxing if no participation in activities desired. Would be a great family destination.
The owner adds a personal touch of making a point of introducing himself to all guest and is willing to engage in conversation. Wonderful stay.

We chose this hotel because it was near to Arles, near to the Alpilles and, at the same time, close to the Camargue and the excellent bird watching.

We found as well a world-apart in which to relax and feel at home in complete comfort.

A tremendous establishment in the heart of the Camargue.Staff are professional in the extreme, rooms are very comfortable and the restaurant provides an excellent set-menu every evening. The pool area is exceptional and Pascal, who looks after this area and waits on table in the evenings, is one of the most charming and professional people you will meet. The owner and staff are all outstanding and they will arrange 4x4 rides to visit the Camargue's white horses, the bulls and the flamingoes. What's not to like?!
