My wife and I stayed recently and enjoyed the room and the general vibe of the place. I needed some medical help and the reception staff were so helpful. All I had to do was turn up and they would respond with more ice for my aching knee. Reception staff were helpful also in encouraging me to use the French Public Health system.

we stayed at the hotel for one night to visit a museum. Der hotel ist new and modern with a nice design. Der breakfast was very good with a good quality and enough choices. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is near to the freeway but not far to the city center.

We stayed 1 night in a very quiet stylish room at the back. Nice teamaker. Bed was a bit too soft for us.
Breakfast was oké, with great weather outside on the patio. Great choice of Bread, Milk, could have a bit more variety of cheese.
The bar the Savon at check-in is funny and functioneel.
We’l come back next time we’ll be in Aix.

Specifically booked this hotel for access to bikes to ride through Provence (which still show they are available to rent on their website) but were told bikes are not available due to insurance. Offered free breakfast to cover this inconvenience.

Food: Overpriced for dinner and drinks. Steak not good quality. Glad we didn't pay for breakfast because I would have felt very ripped off with bad coffee and luke warm eggs and average pastries. Don't bother. Go into town (with your own car because you can't ride a bike...)

Toilet didn't flush properly but shower was fantastic. Rooms were neat and clean but tea/coffee not of a 4star standard. Very cheap.

Room tip: Choose another hotel

dear kate,
We are very sad about your report of your stay at the Golden Tulip in Aix-en-Provence.
We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by the fact that our tendems are not available for rent. Indeed the safety of our customers remains our priority and without insurance it is impossible for us to run any risk.
We are delighted that you enjoyed the decoration of our establishment.
Regarding your comments on the food in general and its quality, we are very surprised. Our meat is brought to us every day by a local butcher. It is therefore fresh meat that we serve at our restaurant.
Regarding your remarks about the breakfast, our coffee is selected by Malongo who has a map of the best coffee. For the rest of the products, we chose fresh and seasonal products, coming from local producers. We regret that you do not have not appreciated that.
The fact that tandems are not available has strongly upset you and we understand it. It is one of the markers of our sign, we must have them even if for the moment it remains decorative.
During a future stay, do not hesitate to contact us directly to take all the necessary information, it will avoid you a feeling of disappointment.

Excellent Bed and bar service until midnight.
Parking and swimming pool
Ideally located for travellers with easy access to TGV station or airport as well as to the City center (10mn).
Excellent european breakfast.
Best price on the net.
