Hotel has wonderful helpful and friendly staff, which is great for people from non French speaking countries. Our room was large and airy and with the heatwave we were experiencing the air conditioning was a real must. The situation is right in the heart of town easy walking distance from everything you need. We had a back room which looked out over the roofes of houses extremely quiet.

Room Tip: Select a back room away from Street noises

Look the hotel is average. Clean, and well kept with a nice parking garage, but no major thrills. That said its in a quieter location and close to the main areas. But here's why I am reviewing it. I mistakenly had confirmed a King Bed for my dad and I but we needed two beds. Obviously.

The hotel was booked solid, and we had little options. Maher, the front desk man, literally went the distance! He scrambled to find us a solution while balancing other guest requests. He then personally was able to get two twins in the room, make the beds himself (as it was after hours), and then recommended an amazing local restaurant to boot.

Look the most important person for me on this trip was my dad, and he was VERY happy with the outcome. Thank you for going the distance. Made all the difference.

My first impressions of this little two star hotel were not great. The entrance area and reception are really in need of a revamp and I did wonder what our room would be like. BUT the young man on reception was helpful and our room, though pretty basic, was clean and comfortable with a decent bathroom and air conditioning. We had one of the courtyard rooms so there was outside seating if you wanted it. The breakfast was standard French issue, nothing special but perfectly OK and there was very good coffee. But the real appeal is the hotel's location just a 5 minute walk from the Cours Mirabeau and the centre of Aix. Plus there is parking, albeit at a charge, which is an absolute necessity in Aix. The hotel is quite easy to find from the motorway but be aware that access to the garage is through the very narrow entrance archway to the hotel and down a pretty steep ramp. It took us three tours around the one way system to find our way in. Also there isn't too much space to manoeuvre but it's still absolutely worth it. I wouldn't maybe be quite as effusive as some other reviewers but for a reasonably priced 2 star this is a very decent hotel for a couple of nights. Nothing luxurious or fancy but I'd be happy to stay there again.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms probably quieter.

It might not look like much from the front, on a busy street, but inside the Concorde is arranged around a lovely little courtyard with olive trees and grapevines, and chairs and tables to sit outside. The nicest rooms open onto this. Rooms themselves are elegant and comfortable, with excellent wifi and nice toiletries. Very helpful staff, especially Julien on the front desk, and a decent breakfast.
