Just from the way the food is presented it is a magic show , the first bites takes you to another world , showing you freshness and a well worked product demonstrating the high skill of the chef and his team .
Definitely coming back and recommended .
A must do in Nantes .

There are a maximum of 30 seats in this resto, so reserve. We had the €51 menu (two entrees, one plat de poisson, and one dessert, though actually there were also amuses bouches and a pre-dessert in addition.) It's also possible to have the €51 menu with a meat main course, or €61 for both meat and fish. Note that patrons don't get to choose: it's a blind menu. Our amuse bouche was a sabl´e with melon and cheese. The first entree was a fondant de seiche (squid) on a bed of red cabbage with an orange/vinegar/sesame sauce. The second entree was poached oysters de Rhuys with tomato (fantastic.)
The main course was lotte (monkfish) perfectly prepared, as in not over-cooked, but tender and tasty, with a caviar d'aubergine, lobster butter, a bit of cabbage, plus peas and cherries. The pre-dessert was a tuile (thin "cracker") with tarragon sorbet, strawberries, and mozzarella. Sounds strange, tasted wonderful. The main dessert had three flavors: red peppers, chocolate, and raspberries, plus rhubarb and strawberry sorbet.

I went to lunch at Lulu Rouget 200km away 2 days ago.
I think this is the best restaurant in Nantes.
They always have something new and so delicious.
What creativity - the chef must be a genius.
Only 24 euros for 3 courses for this taste and quality is awesome.
And the service is good too.
It was full and very busy as usual but the waitress wasn't stressed.
She serves efficiently with a friendly smile which is a nice contrast to the chef’s serious face.
I Hope it stays the same.

Good dinner. Interesting flavours but waiter was a bit over the top and quite moody. He just didn't want to be interrupted in his show.

We were here a year ago and had a memorable experience. It was our best dining event in Nantes, and during our trip for that matter. When we made reservations for last night, I was nervous. Were my expectations too high? Could I have another amazing culinary miracle? By the second course, I was already savoring the delicate flavors and textures, and forgotten I had been there before. The menu is set, so telling you what to order is unnecessary. The dishes alternated between delicate and robust. The fish was snapper and had a passion fruit sauce, squid, celeriac purée and book Choy .. it was beautiful with fresh seasonal vegetables steamed to perfection bright and vibrant. The meat course was two types of hare, one loin and the other hand picked! slow cooked with fois gras. Perfectly cooked in both cases, soft, melt in your mouth.. we enjoyed a bottle of luneau Papin muscadet 2009 Pueri Solis, which was rich in tropical fruit.. mostly pineapple, but with hints of coconut and honey, viscous, and not overly alcoholic, perfectly balanced with a touch of sweetness.. if they have it, GET it!

We sat by the kitchen bar as we requested and alternatively had the owner chef deliver our dishes with his unique description and probing questions of the earlier courses. They are there to give you a great experience.. it is a bargain at any price..

We heard that this Friday there is a one star Michelin chef coming to pair his style with the owner.. of course it was sold out or we would have changed our trip and gone.

The chef has excellent vine knowledge and will surprise you with something special if you ask..

The bar is now set very high.. and I'm sure the next time we go, we will be stunned again.. as an aside, the dinner is filling but not overwhelming.. I'm 6' 195 lbs and like a hearty meal.. we did not leave wanting! Go! You will not regret the decision, and sit in our spot by the kitchen door.. keep it warm for us..
